Nice host and great food

It’s a beautiful place. Lovely rooms. Clean and nicely furnitured. The owners are such lovely, helpful and good hearted people. We felt taken very good care of and were given good advice about nice place to go for walks and also what to be cautious, careful and alert about concerning animals and safety. Delicious home made food breakfeast and dinner. A place well bear in our hearts forever. We’ll be sure to revisit if we come back to Sri Lanka in the future.🙏

No dislikes

The owners were incredibly friendly and welcoming. We were greeted with a welcome drink, and the breakfast was delicious. When we asked last minute if we could have dinner there in the evening, it was no problem at all and the owner cooked a wonderful meal for us. The homestay is also within walking distance of Pidurangala Rock; you can even see it from the property. The location is right in the forest, where elephants roam, so for safety reasons the owner walked with us part of the way in the morning.

Because elephants can roam around in the evenings, only a limited number of tuk-tuks come to the area, and those who do often take a long detour to get there. This wasn’t a problem for us, but it’s something to keep in mind. The room was a bit damp, but this is unavoidable given the location.

The hosts were very kind and welcoming. The location is good, about 5–10 minutes walking distance to the entrance of Pidurangula Rock.

We booked the tree house, but on arrival we were told it was under repair and we were given a different room. Unfortunately, the room had a very strong mold smell, which made the stay uncomfortable. Also, Booking shows that lunch and dinner are available for an extra charge, but we were told they do not provide this service.
