Very close to Lion Rock and good for town. Good breakfast and very helpful host.

The shower didn't function properly (hot water) but no doubt that has since been taken care of.

Not to far to walk or a short tuk tuk ride to places to eat and drink, or local attractions, clean well kept property

No mosquito net, we bought our own, could do with a little table outside

This is the best place you can stay at in Sigiriya, especially considering the rent. The hosts are way too friendly! Probably the most cost-friendly place we've been to in Sri Lanka too. The complementary breakfast was amazing. It was Sri Lanka's traditional breakfast, and every item was delicately prepared. We had bananas, sandwiches, coconut pancakes, omelettes, vegetable rolls, and tea. Couldn’t believe everything was included with the room rent.

My first room was very bad, There was a very strong smell of mold and dampness, and mold on the walls (see pictures). When I told them, they just put mothballs under the bed, which is very bad for your health.The second day they gave me another room which was a bit better but there was still a big lack in what we expected when we booked a room.No mosquito nets in the bedroom or bathroom windows. Lots of mold on the walls and insects in the bedrooms. When you ask for a net, they give you one with holes in it, so it's useless... No hairdryer, they had to go and ask for one somewhere else down the street. Power cut, not long but annoying. No hot water during my entire 3-nights stay, just inconceivable! No place to hang clothes in the bathroom, the shower is not working properly.. Nothing is done for the comfort of the guest, even the minimum expected in an accommodation is not provided.I ate there two evenings, the first evening was okay, the second evening the chicken fried rice was very bad, I didn't get any chicken but just bones and nerves. I think that in the comments, many people confuse good hospitality which is ok and minimum service of a hotel/homestay to have a good stay and nights (hot water, a room with a normal smell, free of mold and insects, a good bed, pillows and mattress, a place to hang his clothes and put his bag, etc..).
