Sweet Escape - Boutique Hotel

We have stayed in several bungalows surrounded by nature, but our experience at Sweet Escape stood out in particular. Here, the connection with the surroundings feels entirely authentic rather than designed for tourists—constant, harmonious, and wonderfully unforced. In the bungalow, we fell asleep to the gentle sound of the stream and woke to birdsong. In the evenings, we could hear the unmistakable call of the tokay gecko, and we even managed to spot and photograph one. Despite being so close to nature, we had no issues with mosquitoes or other bothersome creatures. It is a place where the natural world accompanies you as you drift off and greet the morning, creating a sense of peace that is difficult to put into words. We also stayed in a traditional room. While it is inevitably less immersive than the bungalow, it is more spacious and provides every comfort. Both options offer an excellent experience, depending on what you are looking for: the bungalow is ideal for those seeking a deeper connection with the surroundings, while the room is better suited to guests who value extra space and comfort. The staff complete the experience beautifully: calm, discreet, kind, and always ready to help with any request.

If we were to be extremely, extremely critical, the shared spaces could benefit from a more rigorous level of aesthetic care. The property already has a pleasant identity and blends beautifully with its natural surroundings, but a few details occasionally interrupt its visual harmony: some paint marks on the floors, limescale on the shower fittings, and certain areas of the garden that could be enhanced with grass, flowers, and a more carefully arranged landscape. This is not a request for luxury, but rather a desire for greater visual clarity: well-maintained surfaces, clean lines, and fewer small imperfections for the eye to linger on. Providing a toilet brush in each bathroom would also bring the facilities in line with what is now an international standard. That said, we fully understand that every improvement, even one that may appear simple, requires time, work, and resources. Considering the very reasonable price and the category of the property, these details are entirely understandable and did not detract from our stay in any way. On the contrary, the overall atmosphere is so enjoyable and the value for money so excellent that everything already works wonderfully well. These observations arise only from making a deliberate effort to be exceptionally demanding, and are intended solely as constructive suggestions that might bring even greater harmony to an already excellent experience.

I was here before renovation- and I loved it. Now I have visited it after renovation- and it’s perfect. The interior is relaxing, they have all needed in the rooms. Boutique restaurant is also worth - good is local , but prepared in good way. From the restaurant terrace it’s even possible to see Agung - and that’s wow . Thank you for accommodation .

The views are absolutely stunning and the pool is refreshing. The bed was large and comfortable.

The food options were limited as well as the drinks despite what it said on the menu and meals are quite small for their price. I wouldn't recommend using the hotel transport drivers as they are overpriced so best to organize your own driver. Definitely need a driver or a scooter due to the isolated location. Unfortunately, there was quite a bit of noise during my stay with neighboring work and it made the stay a bit unpleasant.
