Had a nice stay at this place. Location is great, the street is a dead end on one side but the other way has plenty of restaurants and even some shops. There is a grocery shop with very limited selection but if needed it will do. I would not consider the rest of Sidemen walkable from this property purely due to lack of sidewalks and street lights so if you have a scooter it’s a big plus. However, saw plenty people do it with phone flashlight on and not too far from the property you can rent scooters.
The place is nice and clean and you have this amazing view from the restaurant terrace.
Almost everything is (relatively) new.
Breakfast decent plus!
Staff are amazing. Can’t emphasise this enough: Bali people are really the nicest people I’ve ever met!
Decent priced laundry service just around the corner.
For the ones who can’t go without EU/US style coffee’s, there is a very cute joint just 200 meter up which serves amazing cappuccinos, lattes and delicious cakes.
Would definitely recommend!
To help fellow travellers make an informed decision, I’ll share some important aspects to consider:
- the restaurant is right next to the rooms. You will hear the constant music and customers speaking and laughing the entire day. It stops around 10PM approx. depending on when last people leave.
- the doors to the room are a joke. Kept coming off the rails and was constantly fixing them. Also therefore locking the door is useless as you can simply push it to one side and enter. Consider this as there is no safe deposit box. Staff did tell me they are at the bar till around 9PM of the restaurant has no guests.
- internet is iffy, it comes and goes! Expect video calls to drop, streaming is hope and pray and on top of that, 4G (I had Telkomsel) is also not the best in the room. Keep in mind if you have to work there.
- the AC is perfectly fine at night and during cloudy days. When full sunshine, I found the room to become too warm. Tried lowering the temperature but it seems locked to maybe 22 minimum even though the remote lets you select 16 degrees.
- the rooms with the patio / sitting corner in between is just that: you are sitting a cove style area. It was fine though to have a quick ciggi.
- the shower floor with all the pebbles is a really cool feature, loved it! However after a couple of days the novelty wears off fast and I pushed them aside to use the concrete floor underneath. it seemed (and felt) clean to me but the idea of not knowing was a but off-putting.
None of these are dealbreakers really, but maybe good to know in case they are of importance. Therefore I believe this property deserves the max score.

Really clean and brand-new homestay, kettle and stuff to make your own coffee/tea.
Restaurant with nice view is part to the homestay (the waiters do the check-in).
Good location, it’s quiet because you’re not around Main Street but 10 min walking.
Music of the restaurant you can hear until 9-10pm and even if you wanna take a nap during the day you can hear it.
Breakfast starting at 9 so it was a bit late for us. And they can be a bit slow to serve you.

L’établissement est vraiment confortable et bien situé, proche des rizières et il y a beaucoup de restaurants sympas dans la rue. La chambre était parfaitement équipée et la salle de bain très propre. Le rapport qualité prix est incroyable!
Le restaurant de l’hôtel est plutôt bon, il y a du choix et le petit déjeuner servi est très correct. Le personnel a été aux petits soins et toujours prêt à aider. J’ai beaucoup apprécié mon séjour à Banjar Homestay!
