Accommodating host, not accommodation

On the positive side the location is fantastic. We had some problems and the owner was very understanding and helpful. So we must give credit where credit is due.

Firstly, when we arrived we immediately asked to change to another apartment since the one we were given was not how it had been presented. In the first apartment the cups were still dirty from the previous occupant, and when we got to the second apartment, the pot was dirty, the kettle was filled with limescale, and there was also egg on one of the outside windows (see picture). In terms of the apartment itself, even though the second one was better, some maintenance is necessary since the lock on the bedroom fell off, a light cover was hanging off (see pictures), the blind attachment was away from the window (see picture), and the coffee machine leaked. Around the apartment in general some cleaning up and fixing is needed as there were marks on the walls and one or two other things. There is no parking, which perhaps was our misunderstanding, and the nearest car park is about 500m away and costs €15 for 24hr so expect an additional charge. Lastly, the shower didn’t have a door or curtain meaning that water went all over the floor when having a shower, and because of the roof it was hard to stand up straight. Some of these problems are related specifically to the apartment that we stayed in, so you might get lucky.

Exceptional

We had a wonderful stay at the Niki O Apartment! It was a spacious, clean, bright and friendly apartment with lots of space to hang up clothes. The little kitchen was well equipped and very efficient. The bed was very comfortable and the washroom was on the same level, upstairs. We enjoyed being able to relax on the couch… it was all very comfortable and inviting. The location couldn‘t be better, being so close to the main square and with so many shops, cafes and restaurants all around. We very much enjoyed our visit and would love to stay there again!

Very pleasant stay. Central location

Location was marvellous. It was clean and spacious and there is a small washing machine. WiFi was good.

A few minor niggles. The very helpful information book hadn’t been updated for a long time. Only 3 coffee capsules for 2 people on a 4 night stay.

Just in the heart of Parma, very nice, modern two - level apartment. Easy, guest -friendly online check -in. Nicki, the Hostess - responsive, helpful and kind. You go out and immerse yourself in the capital of cheese 🧀 and ham 🍖. Parma is not a very big place, so you are close to all tourist attractions.

The apartment was lovely,spacious,well equipped and in the most perfect location.

The only problem was the 3 flights of stairs,not a problem going up and down each day ,but managing suitcases.

apartment was not cosy at all. only TL lighting which in our opinion is horrible. on the pictures you mainly see a cute apartment on the top floor with balcony, but our apartment on the 1st floor wasn’t nice at all. very noisy apartment, from the streets but also from the butcher store downstairs starting each morning at 5am with heavy machinery. very bad matras/bed, was more like a folding bed. very basic bathroom.

Superb

It was spacious and felt like we were part of the town. Very safe and secure. Good amenities if you wanted to stay for a while and cook your own meals. Nice AC and easy to store luggage if check out didn’t align with your schedule. Also an amazing restaurant just feet from the entrance to the apartments!

Only downfall is having to carry your luggage up four flights in a very narrow stairway, and a poorly designed shower (tub with no walls so water goes everywhere and shower hose that is handheld with a very short hose so you can’t stand up fully).

Wonderful stay in Parma

The position is perfect to visit the city and it's attractions. There are a lot of restaurants, typical food is available in every corner. It's 15 minutes walking from the train station. The self check in is a plus and the host, she is available for every need. She also left a brochure with useful advise allowing me to enjoy more the city. I forgot something important and she helped me getting it back the day after I left the apartment. The apartment is good and well furnished and clean.

The location was perfect and the apartment very furnished and convenient.

The bed was really not great, creaky and noisy and we did not have a good night …. Which is rather disappointing for the value of the money but the mattress was good, it was just the wire bed base which was really not.

Superb

Very central location. Parma is not as bustling as other tourist places in Italy. Really an old town to live and enjoy. Super friendly people. Lovely restaurants just around the corner. Uncomplicated contacts with the landlady.

Access with big heavy suitcase is rather limited and you have to drive through a pedestrian zone. Better park outside the the ZTL and just bring a small suitcase or backpack so that you don't have to disturb the traffic free zone. Closest parking Goito is 500 meters away. Perfect.

It was a 6 minute walk to the city center of parma and the next grocery store was also a 6 minute walk away. It was perfectly located and quiet even though there were 2 restaurants right infront of the apartment building. :)

Very central stay in a cool area of Parma

The location was amazing and also the recommendation from the Nicolle on where to dine around Parma.

Only thing the bed perhaps, it was quite squeaky, other than that, everything was ok! A bit noisy but it is understandable given the very lively location.

It was hot. The air conditioning apparently doesn’t come on certain times of the year and it happened to be very hot while we were there so that was uncomfortable and with the windows open it was very loud as you are just above a restaurant which wouldn’t really be a big deal if we didn’t have a baby.

A city center nest.

The place is cute. It's located in the city center and you can move easily around.

The apartment is very noisy because there are couple of restaurants just down there. The bed is too soft. Finding a parking spot is a nightmare because of the ZTL. Plus the owner didn't advise us that most of the streets were closed the day of our arrival.

A very nice apartment in the city center

The host is exceptional. She was very attentive, organized, customer-oriented, and responded very fast to any message. More, she helped us with getting taxi to the station, which waz much appreciated.

The apt.is on the 3rd floor and it taked effort to take the luggage up abd down via narrow stairs. But still it was good to have it

perfect stay for visit to Parma

The location was perfect! The apartment was walking distance near all the sites. It was appointed with all the basic necessities plus some extras like a dishwasher and washing machine (though we didn’t need to use either of these). Extra bonuses include some coffee pods and a coffee machine. Check in was very easy and convenient with a code. The host was super responsive on WhatsApp. A parking structure was nearby - 6 min walk - and max parking fee was 14EUR at time of writing.

The mattress was on the soft side for us.
