A great location but villas are tired and worn

The location and tranquility of the property serviced by helpful staff

I booked a poolside villa and assumed it was private but it was a shared space which I guess I didn’t study the website close enough. These villas are a great layout however it was in need of refurbishment.. Materials throughout are really tired and worn the toilet never flushed properly the whole stay. If the owner just spent some money to bring it back to its former glory it would be a nice place to stay so until they do I wouldn’t recommend these villas as there is plenty of other accomodation choices nearby.

Disappointing!

We took one look and decided to move to another resort. Did not stay 1 night.

The room was tired, musty and we thought it was misrepresented by its web pictures.

Would have been a divine property in its day, it just needs some love put back into it.

Chandra the manager was a wonderful person who tried very hard. The property was quiet and we had the whole place to ourselves. It would have been a beautiful property in its day, now looks quite tired and sad. The bed was very comfortable

The place has seen better days. Mouldy smell in the rooms, run down fixtures, and just overall tired feel. It could be great again with a bit of love. The power was shut off to the property for about 5 hours which meant no air con, internet or water pump. We told the onsite staff member who didn’t seem to care and did nothing to help. After calling Chandra the manager the onsite staff member flicked the mains switch and the power was restored. This place should be a lot cheaper for how run down it is getting.

Loved this villa, great location, lots of space in the pool room. Big longe to relax on. Wonderful bathroom. Very little traffic noise.

Beautiful villa but needs a deep clean

Beautifully designed/decorated villa with excellent location close to the beach and near lots of restaurants and shopping areas. I had a very spacious villa and loved the layout. The big windows were wonderful. I loved the outdoor kitchen/ seating area/ sofa.

I was disappointed with cleanliness - I have to say I expect at this price point to have a clean place. Like other commenters mentioned, there’s a lot of stains on bedding, towels, sofas. I expected this so was prepared but was additionally surprised by how moldy the bathroom was. I realise it is hard to keep mold away in such humid conditions but I believe that the state of the bathroom is a step too far. It‘s really a shame - the beautiful bathroom was one of the reasons I booked this villa - but the bathtub and shower tiles you stand on are full of mold. All corners with the windows are black with growing mold too. Also was awakened by the property’s dog barking, whining and scratching at my door to the bedroom early morning between 6:30 and 7am when all I wanted was to sleep after a long flight and arriving late the previous night. I tried to shoo him away which was impossible - he refused to budge and just kept scratching at my door trying to get in. Then continuously dragged his butt across the rug in front of my door (clearly has worms and needs treatment). Also has fleas and wouldn’t stop scratching himself - I really think he needs to be taken to a vet as he stinks so much that the outdoor area of my villa stank all day long after he‘d dragged himself across it. Finally after unsuccessfully messaging via booking.com I had to get up, get dressed and got the attention of staff who removed him so I could sleep. I just don’t understand why they didn’t act before - the constant barking and whining would have been heard everywhere. I did get a response on booking.com a few hours later with an apology which I did really appreciate and the promise that the gate to the main house would remain closed in the morning for the remainder of my stay so that this wouldn’t happen again. I love dogs, so thought I‘d be fine with the property having them but they need to be taken care of (vet & a bath!) and trained properly.

Great place to stay in busy Seminyak.

The hostess was amazing, there was a big storm the night before we left, and it seemed we wouldn't be able to go to our next hotel. she offered a smaller room for a good price so we would still have a place to stay. The location was great, 5 minute walk to the beach.

The hot water wasn't endless, if you showered after each other you had to be quick.

Fine but overpriced.

The room was spacious and the bathroom was really nice. The location was great and the staff was polite and friendly.

The place looked better in the photo. The outdoor kitchen was not very clean and equipped and overall kinda run down. There was a sofa outside that was really dirty and we could not really sit on. The pool was quite dirty too.

Very nice villa!

Very big bed! Toilet was huge and beautiful. Close to places nearby, very clean, such friendly staff.

Nothing we didn’t like. Everything was great! A lot of mosquitos but thats not about the property. They provide spray for the room and a net around the bed. We had a plug in that worked well to deter them.

It was the worst experience in my life.

Nothing!

We were robbed on our first day at this villa! We wanted to warn anyone who is thinking of booking this villa. We stayed here in April 2025. We had money stolen from the safe, which was practically on the street. The bungalow was very easy to get into from the street. There is no CCTV. No cameras. By a strange coincidence, the same thing happened here with Russian tourists six months ago. This means the villa is not safe. The police did nothing. They took statements, but the detective never showed up. The owner of the villa, after she stopped yelling at us, organized a massage for us as compensation. I have been to over 30 countries and Bali in general and this villa in particular are the worst travel experience of my life. P.S. I forgot to mention the dirty sheets and dirty bathroom. There was practically no cleaning. The fallen branches in the photo indicate that someone came on in from the street and broke a palm tree.

Blissful stay in a little paradise away from home

Plenty of room to laze about and just enjoy the peace and serenity. We stayed in the poolside room, which has shared access for other guests to use during their stay. The air conditioning was great when needed to keep the space inside cool. So close to the Seminyak beach, approximately 5-10 minute walk (when you work out which little laneways to cut through) and the Seminyak shops and market stalls are all within walking distance also. Plenty of restaurants close by, but if you’re using Grab or Gojek you’ll need to meet them outside. Vena and Gusti are great hosts and helped us out with our requests.

The pool was great, although the tiles could probably do with a high pressure hosing as appeared to have some mould, but understand how difficult this would be to do if there are guests continuously staying.

Stylish, Peaceful, and Exceptionally Welcoming

We stayed at Baby Melon in Seminyak and it was everything we hoped for and more. The location is truly unbeatable — just minutes from the heart of Seminyak, yet tucked away enough to feel peaceful and private. It was the best of both worlds. The villa itself is stunning and beautifully maintained, with interiors that are not only stylish but also wonderfully unique — every corner had character. It’s clear that a lot of care and creativity has gone into designing this space. The staff were absolutely lovely — kind, warm, and always ready to help. A special shoutout to their driver, who made a huge difference to our stay. He was professional, kind, and generous — offering airport transfers and even inter-city trips at very reasonable prices. I would highly recommend arranging transport with him if you’re staying here! Overall, Baby Melon offers a beautiful, relaxing stay in a prime location with some of the kindest people you’ll meet. Would return in a heartbeat!

Rats in the villa! For health, safety and comfort , I would never stay in this property again

Rats in this Villa! The first 3 days I was out and about.. on the 3rd day as I laid on the bed I saw a rat walking along the ledge of the pitched roof just above the bed in my room.. I screamed and ran out barefoot. I called the villa manager Vena, who offered for me to stay in the owners house, with 5 of her friends.. I declined as I wished to have privacy and preferred the location I paid to be in. I told Vena I will not be able stay in the villa and immediately started looking for alternative accommodation.. - Whilst sitting on the sofa at the breakfast/dining area of the temple room (outside the bedroom but part of the space I rented whilst looking for another hotel, the rat ran along the sofa seats and down into some plants next to the sofa. Now I am convinced there is an infestation of rats to spot two within an hour. - I tried to be discreet to not raise alarm with other paying guests but also to allow Villa managers, the owners some grace to make out actions into place to make things right - Cut a long story short I moved into a hotel nearby and on arrival the same day immediately requested a refund for the three nights that I will stay in another hotel. Although ideally wished for a full refund for the health and safety concern. - The Villa manager advised the next day, a Sunday that she was awaiting a response from the owner and they will not be able to confirm a refund until the Monday. - On the Monday a refund was agreed and upon review of my personal WhatsApp story which stated I found rats in the accommodation and had to leave - they refused to give me a refund for the three night I was unable to stay in the property following discovery of the rats! I am out of pocket- no recourse. Breakfast: very basic and limited, fruits or eggs with a choice of juice. I selected toast and eggs, the toast was stale each morning.

Great place to stay in central Seminyak just behind Double six and an easy walk to beach and cafes.The staff were welcoming while also giving you privacy. We loved the Temple room and it’s outdoor kitchen and sitting area.

Decent

Location was great and right next to the beaches. Little difficult to find but you get used to it eventually. Bed/pillow were super comfortable but the sheets smelt very damp. Breakfast was also ok but I would suggest adding honey to the granola and less water in the orange juice.

Although the beaches were a short distance away we did want to use the pool but noticed this was not the cleanest. Completely understand the surroundings of nature however better maintenance of the pool could have been kept. The waterfall shower head for our room was not working. Looks like the shower head isn’t connected properly. Separately one of the knobs next to the left side sink is super stiff and impossible to turn. I would advise checking the wooden plank on the left side of the bed in the garden room. A piece of the wood is broken and could cause a really nasty injury when getting out of bed. A suggestion which a lot of travellers may appreciate is a small bit of milk in the fridge for tea/coffee? Or even non-dairy creamer? The cleaning staff/breakfast lady was lovely along with the young man that worked with her, however the management could have been better. We did try to contact on WhatsApp twice but several things but there was no response from the team. We could have been notified via the whiteboard at the minimum or a note could have been left for us outside the room. Once we checked out, few hours later a response was provided that their WhatsApp number had an issue. Overall there could have been better communication and maintenance of the property. I had booked this place based on the number of positive reviews and so I expected the same but was a little disappointed.

Very comfortable villa for our 3 nights in Seminyak!

We loved our Villa. We were tucked away in the corner through a private gate. Amazing space with large Balinese styled bedroom and large bathroom. Outdoor space consisted of lounge area and kitchen and an outdoor bath. really comfortable accommodation. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Our rate included breakfast which was brought to our room each morning.

Swimming pool ideal for a dip but not really suitable to lounge around although there are a couple of beanbags to lie on.

Privacy walking distance from the beach

The people working here really took care of us the whole time. Organising the driver to pick us up from the airport, the breakfasts in the morning... everything was super personal. We loved that the villa is very close to the beach where life just never stops. We LOVED that beach down the road with the restaurant Chez Gado Gado, where we dined every night, or the live music bars on the shore. ❤️

There were just very little things actually... not anthing that would have taken anything away from our wonderful time here.
