The Coates Gardens Residence

Výborná poloha, kľudná časť mesta, cca 15 min pešo do centra. Krásny byt v starobritskom štýle.

Pre 5 dosť malé, pre 4 akurát. Toaleta s kúpelňou spolu - pri 5 ľuďoch ráno nepraktické.

Our stay was absolutely excellent from beginning to end. The accommodation was spotless, comfortable, and beautifully maintained, making us feel at home the moment we arrived. The location was perfect, with everything we needed close by, and the amenities exceeded our expectations.

Location is ~30 min away from the Royal Mile, but a block away from transportation. Not many close restaurants, but there were a few a few blocks away that we enjoyed. The place is on the 1st floor, and has a washing machine, which is great!

Communication with the host was awkward (it's a property management company). The booking confirmation in booking.com didn't have details about how to get in, or an actual street address, I had to search for a link in an email, which is odd and not great communication.

It was convenient to the city. The kitchen was good and well appointed. It was compfortable enough.

I asked about parking and was told that there was no designated parking but that there was parking in the street. The street parking comprised of parking on one side of the road that was for residents only. On the other side of the road the parking was limited to 4 hours between 8.30am - 6 (or was it 6.30) pm at a cost of GBP 4.95 an hour. What were we to do with 2 cars??? The pots at the front door with dead plants in them, the filthy porch and the dirty and untidy entrance hall did not give a good first impression. The TV had Foxtel but no code to get into it. We seemed unable to watch free to air TV as well. The bathroom was adequate. The mixer tap on the basin needs to be changed so that the water doesn't splash down into the cupboard underneath.
