The local was good

Staff was not present only when u went to the restaurant part didn't explain about the extra charge properly the bed was not the comfortable, could hear other people moving around though the night

Super excellent value for money.

Really easy to find and park, clean room and everything we needed. We were pleasantly surprised at how good value it is! Big car park and pub with great selection of food and drink. Would definitely stay again!

Staff could have been more courteous but they were very helpful! The distinction between the reception and the pub could be clearer, have it sectioned off or separate from the bar with more space to wait. Make the route to the carpark for the hotel clearer (lodge was a little confusing when driving, hotel would be clearer).

Pleasant & competitive - a good location for a stopover

Booking was easy and competitive in price. Friendly ,helpful staff. The separate Hotel part was secure, pleasant and clean. Good location for a short stopover. Breakfasts were ample and with a decent choice.

Clean Comfortable Stay Close to Stunning Walks

Great place to stay , close to Worksop Centre , separate to pub so access at anytime but close enough to walk in got breakfast , a drink or meal. Lovely clean room with adjustable heating which warmed up quickly. Great value for money and included breakfast . Right next to canal for walks . 30 minute stroll to where we had an event at the Masonic hall or around £7 for an uber . Staff were friendly and welcoming. Definitely plan to stay again

First time here for me. Great location, super clean and modern rooms with all you need, friendly staff and great food onsite - fabulous value too.

The only thing for me was it was a little light at night in the car park side. They should re-angle the spot lights a little. But that’s being picky.

It took a long time to book in. There were two blokes at reception who were holding everyone up with their queries, seemingly oblivious to the fact that the world doesn’t revolve around them. I think the receptionist was, by her own admission, making mistakes and so the process was going round in circles. When it was our turn, the receptionist wanted to see my son’s proof of age, as well as that of his girlfriend. They’re both 21, but fair enough. Then, upon settling into the bar, about two hours later, my son and I went to order a lager for me and a Coke for him, something which was made clear in our chat. The barmaid, who was the receptionist from earlier, insisted again on looking at my son’s ID. So, basically suggesting that I was potentially dishonest via the process of farming the beer off onto him (despite him being 21, something which she absolutely knew because she’d already checked at reception). Uncomfortable. I think more (or some) training is in order. It also needs to be said that I’m not overly interested in writing a review, as this stay occurred in early October; however, I’ve repeatedly been contacted, asking for a review - so, here it is.

Relaxing and comfortable place to stay

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel after spending a string of nights in places less comfortable. My room faced the street, not the canal, but it was surprisingly quiet so do not let the fact it is next to a busy road put you off; the hotel is well insulated from sound. My bed was very comfortable and the whole room has the simplicity, comfort, and cleanliness of a well managed hotel. I have slept at Marriotts and Hiltons less comfortable. The staff was also very friendly. I really appreciated the much needed rest here. Also to note, there is a bus stop near by (not sure why my phone kept telling me to walk to the train station).

The internet was good. It was very close to the motorway.

Staff were very friendly, food service was quick and the food was good. Bedrooms were large and clean and the shower was hot with good pressure.

The bar closed at 10:25pm without any warning, which was a bit frustrating.

Location and price

TV didn’t work and no real attempts were made to fix it. Booked the room to chill and wasn’t able to do that. Raised with hotel and they didn’t address it or remediate it, no interest.
