We stayed in the executive double suite and it was exactly as the pictures so wasn't disappointed with anything in the room,it was clean spacious and comfortable

The toilet roll holder is a little far from the toilet for short armed people 🤭 and the noise being next to the door and the steps (room 401) from 5:30 was annoying we sleep with ear plugs and still heards lots of commotion

A real discovery in Worksop!

Clean and lean. My room had been recently refurbished so was both elegant and comfortable.

Only a minor inconvenience: my room was right at the back of the hotel - although the trek was worth it!

Highly recommend Lion Hotel to any future guests

Could not fault check in was easy and the were staff very friendly. The room was neat, clean tea and coffee provided. Everything worked beds very comfortable. Breakfast was very nice.

Disappointed.

The breakfast was excellent.

When we checked in the receptionist didnt tell us where to go to get to our room. The bed were awful, the mattress sloped at the edges, the bed wobbled to the point I thought I would fall out, the pillows were rock hard and the remote didnt work. When reported I was told it was because I booked the cheaper unrefurbished room, I was travelling for my father's funeral, an unexpected cost between Christmas and New Year, when I am on a low income, but I thought just short of £100 for 1 night would still pay for basic comfort.

Business trip

Great location and parking on-site. Staff were all very welcoming about helpful. We ate dinner in the restaurant and good was delicious and good value. The breakfast was also really good and a great start to the day. Our room was comfortable with hood beds and an excellent bathroom.

The only slightly annoying thing was an extractor fan on the outside wall next to our room, which was a bit noisy.

Great place to stay, convenient and cosy.

Really convenient location with parking. Helpful staff, clean, comfortable room, quiet and warm. Good restaurant with amazing breakfast which is very good value. Plenty of space to store clothes,shoes etc. Breakfast delivered to us in our room on Christmas Day was the icing on the cake! Openable window for fresh air. Modern shower, non slip bath mat, plenty of clean towels, tea/ coffee etc. and a fridge.

I would have preferred a walk in shower instead of one over the bath as I have difficulties at the moment but I'm sure if we asked we could have been moved. A non slip mat was provided which was helpful.

Glad we upgraded to the superior double, loads of room, really comfy bed. Nice bathroom with a shower and a bath. Breakfast was good, staff very friendly especially the lady behind the bar

Super clean. Room well appointed. Everyone polite. Didn’t wait at all for any help.

Some of the food let it down. Roast and full English were lovely. Pizza was awful - ate two slices and left the rest. Toast ( I get this is a tiny thing but is just irritating) was really just warm bread on one side.

The breakfast and staff are wonderful. We've stayed here visiting family on a number of occasions. Tea and coffee making facilites and free parking.

A lovely place to stay and eat in the area.

The hotel has been decorated and furnished to a high standard. The bedroom was huge with a deep plush carpet. The bed was very comfortable and a great bathroom. Staff were very polite and the food was good.

It was very warm but our room did have air conditioning which helped.

A gem of a hotel, where the staff really understand how to take care of the guests.

The Lion Hotel had everything I needed for my short work stay. The staff were all fantastic. They could not have been more helpful, friendly and efficient. The onsite car parking was also extremely useful, while the room was clean, tidy and comfortable. Dinner in the restaurant was great too: pleasant food, a good range and some lovely wine.

Clean, quiet and unexpected.

The room was clean, well laid out, and surprisingly spacious. The hotel’s pub and restaurant downstairs were convenient for grabbing a drink or a meal, yet despite being on a main road and above the pub, the room was quiet and peaceful. Parking was an added bonus — especially helpful when travelling with a car. The rooms are over several floors, there is stair and lift access which is great for heavy suitacases!

There wasn’t really anything we didn’t like. The car park was a little tight at times, as some cars were parked unevenly, but that’s outside the hotel’s control.
