Felt there was a lack of staff in housekeeping, we had pillows with out cases, we asked at reception and 2 hours later not arrived, had to collect from reception, which was not manned all the time or responded to the bell left on the desk. Considering you could not check in before 3 pm ( no problem) you would expect the rooms to be ready. Also missing was extra towels. Was a bit surprised to find a notice in the bedroom to say expect slow service.

After checking in to the hotel and getting to my room I noticed thick cobwebs in the bathroom to start. The room was old and very dated with thin curtains letting light in. I sat at the desk to work and the top was sticky . I jumped in the shower to have a small dribble coming out and as I grabbed the towels both were dirty with marks on. I then stepped on glass and noticed small pieces all over the floor. I went to reception and they asked if they could see. After pointing oit all the issues I asked to be moved. Unfortunately they only had a triple with 3 single beds but I just wanted a clean room. I received my key for the new room which was a superior room I believe. This room was much better but very hot with a window open onto the main road. There was no fan but when asking reception they dropped one to my room. My customer and I had dinner in the restaurant and it seemed the lady was alone so there was limited times to choose from. The staff were friendly and food was OK.

Stayed for evening waited a while to book in 20mins in que as complaints from others and room swaps when we finally found our room as signage was confusing it was very dated, there was no plug socket at side of bed for my cpap machine, a lady brought a tiny extension as other socket was right on other side of room she said I will get another extension to go on extension I said no it’s a fire risk, we changed rooms to smaller one and bobbles and grips left on the floor.tv remote didn’t work, Got some squash from the bar no staff 20 min wait and had to take drink back as cloudy and off, Ate elsewhere for dinner as limited dinner menu, Dim lit cat park at night, Breakfast was not good either undercooked meat and no fried eggs
