Location was great for what we needed.

The room was a bit grotty despite saying we had been upgraded to a newer room. The hallway ceiling and walls had paint falling off. Our bedroom felt dirty and could constantly feel dust or dirt on our feet, especially when getting into bed. The spa was also being re-done while there which they didn’t tell us until after we had booked.

I liked the fact the staff were welcoming. Room was nice and warm and shower lovely.

The service for food was slow and quality of food not so great. Would have been nice to have healthier options. The spa was closed when we arrived so I cannot give feedback on this.

Location - staff friendly

Very noisy - gutter dripping outside the window, hard floors so you could here people moving around. Poor quality towels. TV had to sign into amazon to watch anything as couldn't get main channels. Breakfast poor offering.

Lovely hotel, but just needs to tweak their offering to make it an even better stay!

The room decor is absolutely stunning and befitting of the hotel. Think, modern hunting lodge and you can't go far wrong. The general areas are clean and decoration in keeping with the hotel. The Receptionist was knowledgeable ans took time to explain everything in detail including the arrangements for dinner and breakfast. I even had GF treats left in the room to enjoy at my leisure. Restaurant wasn't busy, but enough space to spread-out if needed. Gluten free menu available, although hard to understand - it does need to be made clearer, as some one who has a GF diet. I ended up having steak (which was very well prepared) because it was the safest thing on the menu.

Only a couple of things come to mind really as the hotel really is lovely and I'd definitely stay again, but, in the room there needs to be an ironing board, especially as an iron was provided. I had to iron my clothes on the bed, with it being the biggest surface area. As mentioned, the GF menu needs to be clearer and no left to chance. Either create a separate GF menu, or have one which is very clear what is possible. There were hand-written stars next to the food items, but when questioning the restaurant staff, you could clearly see they weren't confident in their menu knowledge. For breakfast, it was clear the hotel could cater for a GF cooked breakfast, which is great, but there was no bread available. Although the breakfast was plentiful, I left feeling disappointed, I couldn't even have a slice of toast. Overall a lovely hotel, which only needs a couple of minor tweaks. You either offer something or don't - you can't afford to be half in i.e. iron, but no ironing board, GF menu, but no clear choices or toast a breakfast!

Nice room, spa not busy, tasty breakfast buffet. Friendly staff ladies on reception and breakfast. tried to make our stay as enjoyable as possible.

A successful and enjoyable stay.

The Hotel catered for a big group of 13. Triple Rooms are a good addition and make it more cost effective for our group. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast is very good. Spa facilities included were very good. Hotel provided a little extra for the big birthday we were celebrating. Normanton Inn Restaurant was great and food was of good quality.

Parking & location.

Bedroom heating, small room, no toilet roll holder, only a very small window opened. Lack of flexibility with snacks and bar, confusion and contradictory info. No EV charger. No room service, no towels 2nd day. Muddled dinner service….

Great location, great facilities available and the staff are very welcoming.

Facilities were good, for a good night’s sleep. Leisure facilities and pool was perfect.

Breakfast food was alright, but there was never any fruit juices available, the jugs were left empty on both mornings, coffee for breakfast was extremely disappointing, only filter coffee available from a large banquet flask, which was just lukewarm.

Hugely enjoyable stay, would recommend

Loved the Spa, pool a good size and very warm. All staff very helpful and friendly. Good sized rooms, very comfortable....big plus for me there is access to Climber Park and walks right across the road. Going to return as enjoyed it all so much.

My one and only reservation was our evening meals could have been better not dreadful or anything but not good enough to recommend.Service I restaurant was good but they seemed too busy . Maybe another member of staff would have been helpful . Also food presentation could have been better . Overall a very nice stay loved the pool .

Being colleagues we specifically requested single beds but were given a double. As a result one of us had to sleep on the floor so unfortunately we wont be returning especially as the hotel was quiet so cant see that it would have been an issue...

Gorgeous newly refurbished room, such a comfy bed!

The room was gorgeous. Good sound proofing considering next to a busy road. The foyer etc was lovely but a little dated in parts. Brilliant nights sleep. Bed was very comfy

A good price, great location for post Clumber Park walk

Lovely room, very nice. Warm and very nicely decorated. The room we were in was quiet with only one room next door. Very enjoyable.

Areas downstairs and the pool/leisure area a little shabby. I wouldn't rush to come back and use the leisure area but the room, staff and restaurant were all good.
