Good location and accommodation fair

We were not put in a Park View Room which we had paid for. There was no water in the vending machine and one machine was out of order. The shower was dirty

We stayed at the Hex hotel for my son's 7th birthday. We were impressed with it all.

The whole thing. The standard of finish in every area of the hotel, the restaurants, the staff, the wildlife park was fabulous.b Nothing was too much. Our room was stunning and it was exactly what it said on the tin- a room with a view. We could see maned wolves, tapirs and seals from our room. It was child friendly with a low down window, child friendly snacks and drinks in the room too. Honestly couldn't fault it.

The door to the hotel that is automatic and opens outward is not good for wheelchairs! It does not open fully and when manually forced to open it still doesn't open all the way making your front right wheel go down a small ditch of gravel

Excellent location but disappointing hotel. Positive comfy bed and clean bathroom.

Parking included. Access to the zoo, play centre, dining and onsite activities.

The room was sold as premium park view but we could only see park entrance and shops. We could see the general zoo area but no animals. The room has peeling wallpaper, other peoples litter and a dusty tv. When the receptionist was informed as checkout she responded with il pass info on to housekeeping. Breakfast staff were disorganised and the place was chaotic.

A brand new hotel with nice rooms and comfortable beds.

The hotel needs to rethink the reception area. There's no drop off facilities for luggage and the car park is 200 metres away. We arrived in the driving rain and got soaked walking along a waterlogged path to the reception. Not a good first impression.

Great experience

Family room was spotless with great facilities. The 'watering hole' was an excellent facility with bottle warmers, microwaves, kettles, vending machine, water machine and a sink. Breakfast was fantastic.

We expected the view to be better. Lots of trees blocking the view across the park but we did see some animals.

We were both woken in the night by several strange 'pinging' noises which sounded like something electrical switching off. There was a constant low hum which we assume was from the air conditioning.

It was clean

The reception being separate from hotel is crazy. The carpark being a fair walk (got soaked) and not very well sign posted. Didn't like the room windows not being able to open, surely that's a safety issue, especially with the kitchen being on the same floor. The bed was the worst we've slept in, so uncomfortable. We woke early and left before 7am to go home and get some sleep!! The bathroom was nice though! The cafes and bars are overpriced. We had booked into Wilds bistro and went for drinks first but the atmosphere was poor only a couple of tables in use so we got an uber and went somewhere else. Got stopped by the bus stop by an old lady in her car she was lost as she didnt know which car park to use. she said she was disabled and couldn't believe the distance from car park to the reception! She wasn't very happy either!!

Great stay

Staff were polite and helpful. We arrived alot earlier than check in time but were able to drop our bags off early. The 'standard double' room was clean and fairly spacious. We had a view of the courtyard and this was fine for us. Handy little kitchen area on our floor too/vending machine for snacks. Breakfast at Cafe Bistro was delicious.

I found the beds mattress a little too firm but that's just down to personal choice, I know. The windows don't open. There is an aircon/fan/temperature control panel instead.
