Upgraded the room however not the best! Decor was dated and room was sadly cold - had to plug in Ann electric heater!

The staff were friendly and welcoming.

The room was not clean. The carpet had not been vacummed and had hair and dirt on it. There was damp in the corner of the room and a whole strip of wallpaper was loose. There were cobwebs in the corners of the room also. For the price it would have been nice to have had shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom. There was only one bottle of hair and body wash.

Room smelled fusty, door handle es loose and hanging on by 2 loose screws on the outside, taps on sink and bath very stiff and difficult to turn on or off, huge cobweb down side of dresser

Perfect location

Location is absolutely perfect. Right in the centre of Bawtry

Bathroom needs updating, mould around the seal on bath, the temperature constantly went from tepid to cold when having a shower, was never hot. Do t like the boxed in style around the sink it’s too bulky. My husband constantly banged his leg & feet on the bulky bed frame, drawing blood several occasions on his shin. The mattress didn’t seem large enough to fit the frame.

All good besides the exploding sauce

All good besides an out of date bottle of tomato ketchup that exploded all over my lap and shirt and breakfast table and chair. The female staff were not really bothered either to bring clothes to cleanup or by the soiled clothes. The sauce bottle exploded because it had either been stored somewhere too warm or it was out of date. Either way, why? Poor food safety.

The location is very good. Breakfast was lovely. Mattress comfy (but pillows terrible!)

For the price, the facilities weren’t great. Decor deteriorating, constant ticking/dripping from somewhere internally. The bathroom wasn’t cleaned properly (had someone else’s tooth paste in the sink/splashes all over the mirror) the tea/coffee station (cheap produce & not filled up) but the worst was the wooden bed with a bit of a shelf on it, had a white crusty splash mark, so also not cleaned properly. Really made us feel disgusted. We have stayed previously & was a lot better & that’s why we went back. So really disappointed on this occasion.

The room was alright terrible lighting . Pillows terribly uncomfortable needed replacing . Only one bath towel for two people!! Sink and shower dudnt drain properly. No plug socket next to the bed.

The room i booked initially was depressing. Tearoom needed decorating loads marks on wall Throws and cushion covers needed washing e en blood stain in one.Pullows were disgusting and dirty. Bed linen looked old and washed out. The bathroom plugs were rusty.Door entrances wood rotten and handles dropping off. Bath panel scratched and in poor shape. One tap needed replacing. Base of tap filthy. Soap dispenser full of dirty gunge on plunger. Shower tiles needed scrubbing especially in corners and around fittings. Total lack of good house keeping and management not checking

Not worth the money

Not a lot really but bed was comfy and walk in shower good

The reception is in the middle of everything going on in the bars. It was Halloween but it was so loud and noisy, I could barely hear myself talk to the receptionist. Then I found out I had to pay £7 parking fee even though I was a resident at the hotel. This made the total stay £152.00. Really not worth that amount of money. The stairs and hallways leading to our room were extremely drab and need a refurbishment. Behind one door at the end of our corridor there was litter and it was generally a mess. I was dreading what our room would be like. In fairness the room was OK but overall this hotel is definitely not worth the money and I wouldn't stay again. Our friends had an AirBNB which was cheaper and much nicer.

Position in town was good and travelling to the motorway was convenient

Having to pay to park. Decor was tired, glass bathroom door was heavily marked and didn't shut. Bathroom appeared dirty, carpet was not a hotel carpet. Exterior painting was peeling and unwelcoming. View from room was disappointing. Receptionist was very abrupt and very unpersonalised. Waitress in the evening was friendly but we felt rushed to order food. We didn't have breakfast as felt it expensive for what was on offer and what we have paid locally elsewhere. Hotel did not match up to our expectations, as was very tired.

Reception could have advised that the room wouldn't be cleaned during our 2 days stay. Housekeeping replenished consumables towels only. The kettle in our room was badly descaled and was leaking. We asked for a replacement.

The bed was comfortable and once the bath started running properly we enjoyed that.

The room was disappointing it wasn't clean. Windows were wide open with bird poop on the windows. The floor and sides are all dusty. You had a small heater and a big fan for your room. It got really hot throughout the night, so we put the fan on, and we soon had to turn it off as it sounded like a washing machine going off so it was a very uncomfortable night for us. And the light shades were disgusting with what looked like red water marks like alcohol or pop had been thrown on them. The bath we had wait for the water to come through properly because it must of not been used for some time. Properly explained why the room was disappointing

Nice hotel good location. Didn't have breakfast included the 4 of us decided not to have it as it was an extra £17;each which we all agreed was very expensive for breakfast!

Only fault was the unable to shower due to boiling hot .did report to reception ,and a lot of wasps on the terrace which resulted having to move into the restaurant. Overall a good stay .parking charges wasn't aware off .

miserable experience, way overpriced

nice location in the centre of Bawtry

well the smoke detector in the room had been covered with cling film (the staff did remove it promptly when I told them about it) but thats a massive fire risk if not checked regularly, and the room stunk of tobacco smoke (so now our clothes do too) . The room was very tired and looked like a snapshot from the late 70's. the ceiling was water stained too. we paid £139 for one night without breakfast, way too expensive for what was in effect a £60/night type accommodation.

We attended a wedding at the hotel and stayed at the same venue. Convenient. The wedding itself was fabulous. Food at the hotel is incredible including the wedding food and also the hotel breakfast. The hotel room was huge (suite)

The child bed tiny. For the surcharge a better bed would have been expected. No aircon. Major downside for us. The room was sweltering even with the window open all night and the fan on.

Great friendly staff

The staff were great, had a meal which was lovely, Ruby and 2 other's served my meals and drinks excellent friendly service food was fairly priced. I requested a ground floor room which was provided.

Having to pay for the onsite car park. Also the back of the wall in room 112, behind where I sat to dry my hair, underneath had drink spilt down it which needs cleaning. Only the top small windows opened, it was 31 degrees outside, and no air-conditioning so it was very hot in the room.

Paid £130 for a room with no aircon it was unbearable when we stayed had small windows that staff had opened prior to checking in but this did not help. There was no water to drink in the room either despite it being so warm in there staff knew it was warm in there. Had to then pay for water at £2 a bottle.
