There was only cold water; when the water was turned on, the tank in a separate closet made an unpleasant sound that echoed throughout the room; the TV would not connect to the internet or Netflix.

Expectations were high after reading site description on site. Reality not.

Clean room. Location for work.

Breakfast was not available! Noisy occupants, Loud music next room early evening, doors slamming late evening and early hours. Money taken from my card on arrival, reason given , 'if you cause any damages'. That should have caused alarm bells, never been asked that before. My room overlooked the rear yard, not an issue though noisy fan, extractor working. Sink was so small almost impossible to have a shave in without spilling water. Bed mattress was terrible deep sunk in the middle! Smelt of smoking on first floor when arrived!!! Shower pressure very poor. No one available upon check out to discuss concerns. Hotel in name only from my experience.

Recommmended for one night stay and close to the railway station, decent location and within walking

The room itself , room 14 was ok for one nights stay, The television was ideal for what I was wanting to watch and the tea and coffee making facilities were acceptable. The bed itself was comfortable with adequate pillows. The water in the shower was warm in the morning, sufficient to have a shower, which was just as well as I had paid a bit extra for ensuite facilities. Good to have your own toilet, also to use as necessary.

The radiator wasn't working, which wasn't a problem, given that the evening was mild. I contacted the reception, and the proprieter adjusted the valve on the radiator which didn't have any effect. I was provided with a small portable heater after I mentioned it again a bit later in the evening, , which helped a little, but didn't radiate around the room. The staff were happy to oblige. I would hope that for people staying in room 14 through the winter months, that the heating would be working, otherwise it would be too cold and not cosy. The heating was working in the downstairs areas of the bar etc, but didn't extend upstairs. I had a shower in my room, but at night, I couldn't get any hot water to have one. When I went into the shared bathroom in the morning, I was intending to get a bath, but found there was no plug for the bath or the sink next to it. So attention to detail needs to be looked at for people without facilities in their room who need to use the shared ones.

Stayed solo with my very large dog and we couldn’t have been made more welcome. Very accommodating.

I stayed alone with a very large (sometimes can be) reactive dog, so was nervous for our solo stay in a busy pub / hotel. The staff were amazing and let me order food and take it up to my room without any issues…small touches like this make our lives so much easier - thank you.

Lovely people but check details when you book!

The staff were immensely kind and hugely helpful. The room was clean and well appointed. Parking was easily available and the hotel location was perfect to get into the town centre. I was very surprised to have booked a room with a SHARED bathroom (something I've never heard of in a hotel) but once I said this had been an error, they very helpfully changed my room to a suite at no extra cost. This was AMAZING.

Nothing to do with the Hotel itself. I believe the information on booking.com isn't clear. The station is not a hotel per se. It's a busy, pleasant, family-run pub with rooms above. Not all rooms have ensuite bathrooms and the stay does not include breakfast. If you want to pay extra for breakfast it's important to note that the pub only supplies breakfast on Saturday (not sure if this is every weekend) and you're hard pressed to find ANYWHERE open in Worksop to get breakfast on a Sunday morning. In the end I paid for breakfast at the Lion Hotel as I had friends staying there - other than that the other option on Sunday morning would have been Greggs! Also, my room was nice but the window faced the pub garden, which had music on all the time the pub was open in the evening. I had to close the window, which made the room quite warm. I didn't stay out beyond 11 so I had to wait until the pub closed to open the window at night.

Great place to stay in Worksop

Rooms were spotless & well maintained. Beds were very comfortable. Bar & garden area was very good. Right by train station & short walk into town. Had a really nice stay. The only thing I would change would be to book an en-suite room but the shared bathroom was fine. Clean & everything worked as it should do. Hotel is on a main road, so traffic noise could be a factor during the week. We stayed on a week-end and had no issues

The breakfast, supposed to be included, does not seem to exist. I paid extra for a room with a shower but it had no power to it so supplied only cold water. Toilet too close to shower. Hotel didn't answer my email after stay.

From Entering the hotel the staff were very friendly, the food was outstanding. The upgrade to an on suite room was a bonus at no extra cost or inconvenience to the hotel. Check out times give you enough time to sort yourself out for journey home

The bed was very uncomfortable as off the mattress was rock hard, the spacing around the bed was not enough with the bed bameing against the wall at one side
