We had such a great experience at Lucy's Tea Room (May 7-8). We stayed in the Darjeeling Suite, located in a separate building at the back of the courtyard. The room was very charming and rustic with a clean and good size bathroom / shower. Instant hot water and great water pressure. The breakfast was excellent with great selections off the menu. We arrived much earlier than our check in and the staff were wonderful in letting us leave our backpacks with them while we explored Stow on Wold.
I would like to give Frankie a massive shout out and Thank You for going the extra mile for us. On the day of our departure, my wife suffered a migraine episode and required extra time (past departure time) to get things right. I spoke with Frankie, explaining the situation and offering whatever $$ necessary to extend our check out. Frankie would not accept any payment and rearranged the cleaning staff schedule to allow us to stay in the room as long as possible, which turned out to be an additional 90 minutes.

I hesitate to write this review because I don’t want everyone to know about this hidden gem! But that would be unfair so here it is- if you get the chance, book this quaint little spot with only 2 rooms (perfect for me and my friend!). You won’t be sorry. It’s precious! The staff are so kind and gave us some insider info. We loved the sweet little touches in both rooms but the best part was feeling like we had a little cottage of our own in the Cotswolds. I’ll never forget it!

Great location in Stow.
Comfortable bed/matress.
Super breakfast
The earl grey room was very damp. There was a dehumidifier which was not dealing with the issue. There were clear signs of damp and black mould in the room and a damp odour too. The heating had to be on high to repel the dampness.
We stayed in this room about five years ago, with no problems.
