Warm and cosy property. Lovely fires in the dining area and central location. Staff very friendly and accommodating to us. Kind to meet our needs and those of our dog.
Lights very dim in the room and in bar/ restaurant areas. Made reading a book or the food menu a challenge for those of us of a certain age! Parking was tight as well.

Brilliant location right in the centre of everything, plenty of lovely shops and restaurants within minutes walk and the food and drinks at the hotel were amazing. Friendly and helpful staff. Room was beautifully decorated and felt special. Free parking was easy to find and we didn’t struggle to get a space both days.
Lots of stairs which isn’t a problem but just be mindful when packing as suitcase was difficult to get to the room, hold-all bags would be easier.

The location is excellent. The rooms were comfortable and great facilities, tea, coffee facilities in your room.
Staff could not have been more helpful and the food was excellent. The property has a lovely warm and cozy feel.

Wonderful boutique hotel in a very historic building, beautifully renovated. Impeccable room with very comfortable beds and an excellent bathroom. Very good daily housekeeping. The hotel restaurant is excellent, with fantastic food and good service.
I had an issue with the extra bed charge (£70), as this policy was not clearly stated in the Booking.com listing at the time of reservation. I tried to explain this to the staff member and show that the information was unclear, but they kept repeating that the charge was valid according to the hotel’s rules. I accepted the charge despite disagreeing and mentioned that I would include this in my review. It is worth considering whether this was a Booking.com or hotel communication issue. In any case, a refund would be very welcome, as my complaint is legitimate.

Quality breakfast & superb location, the car charging points were really appreciated in the rear car park. The staff were all really nice & helpful.
Our bedroom was in the attic & definitely not what we would have chosen had we known

Great location right on market square. Nice welcome and help with bags. Comfortable bed , quality linen , nice bathroom products. We ate a selection of nibbles and starters at the pub and enjoyed all of them. Lovely atmosphere , brilliant playlist of relaxing music on the night we were there.
The large nails in the bedroom wooden floors need to be hammered down. Painful.

Staff were friendly and accommodating.
Nice and quiet room.
Perfect location!
I'm quite tall, so would have preferred a slightly bigger room.
But it was the 'Crow's Nest', so shouldn't grumble too much!

Very well located just on the Market Square, 10 metres from the bus stop. Cosy atmosphere as you enter through the pub. Our bedroom was very comfortable. We had dinner once at the pub, and the fish and chips were delicious. It also has vegetarian options. Very convenient location to visit other places nearby by bus.
All was fine!

Brilliant location
The sink in The Crows Nest is in an awkward place due to the ceiling, makes it difficult to use for washing face etc.

Location in the town is perfect and parking behind is handy. The evening meal was delicious as was the continental breakfast. The ambience was very relaxed with good attention to detail on lighting and candles. Very easy to have our dog with us.
The headboard in Room 3 was hard to sit up in bed and have a cup of tea ! Not sure why, possibly the height or how much it sticks out. Only a small thing to mention.

The breakfast was excellent loads to choose from , great staff clean and very welcoming.
Everything was great if I had to say anything I would have liked a bit of storage in my room like a draw and a shelf in the bathroom as there was nowhere to put toiletries

The room we stayed in was so beautiful, i think it was called the monarch. The photos online don’t do this place justice! It’s much nicer in person. It’s quintessentially English and cosy and exactly what you would want for a short stay in the Cotswolds.
Honestly nothing - it was a little noisy in the early morning when guests started to get up out of their rooms but it’s an old pub/inn so to be expected. It didn’t bother us :)

Great location, comfy beds, good to have a bar downstairs, and a car park on location, breakfast was tasty, nice bathroom
Loud in the mornings, vacuum going off at 6am, single glazed windows with loud noises very early morning in the street

Excellent location, warm cosy room, coffee machine. Great meal in the restaurant.
Very noisy with guests above us, and cleaners in the morning. Floor and bed sloped down so that our feet were higher than our head. This was room 3.

The location
The room was in an old building and we could hear everything from the upstairs rooms. We’ve complained through Booking.com about this. The manager was rude when we complained about this on check out.

Superb location. Excellent value for money. The food is exceptional and the staff are super efficient and friendly. Make sure you try their breakfast or an evening meal, the chef is wonderful.

Location was fantastic.
As mentioned to staff at checkout, both windows would not fully close (due to their age, paint build up, warping?) which made for a very cold, continuous draft all night. Shocking that a room with this defect would be let out. Room was so small that there was no room for a chair and the double bed had to be push against a wall, which made it a challenge to get in and out for a couple in their 60s.

We stayed in the Stag room which was spacious, bed was super comfy, there were robes provided which is always a treat and we opted to have the roll top bath. Parking was free and convenient. Location was great.
Strictly no early check ins as we found out. We arrived at about 2:10ish, asked to check in early and were told to park and the lady at reception did sort of wave us off saying “we will see you at 3” meaning no we can’t accommodate you now. Fine, but it was a bit rude. We decided to go to another pub for a drink whilst we waited instead of staying at the bar there.
Having read the reviews on here, we were expecting a continental breakfast to be included. Apparently this is no longer the case, and is only complementary if booked direct. We decided to find somewhere else in the town instead to paying the additional price. We don’t want anyone else to be caught out like us.

Location was great for looking around the town as very central. The top attic room was nice and quiet and I loved that. Located at the back of the hotel on a floor of its own. Continental breakfast was fine and included in the price. Parking was convenient in the private car park just a short walk from the pub. I liked the quirkiness of the room as I can guarantee that it is totally unique and like nothing else found anywhere! The bed was very comfortable which was a big plus.
The room lacked some basic facilities such as even a chair. Sit on the bed or the floor were your options. The blinds didn’t work on the window which was overlooked and were jammed in the open position. The large porthole in the outside wall inside the shower may not be to everyone’s taste especially as it was around chest level or lower for some people. The kettle was very tricky to use as there was no extension lead provided and the short lead couldn’t reach the nearest socket. So you had to put it on your tiny bedside cabinet to reach any socket. The slope of the bedroom ceiling descends to just 2 foot from the floor at one point which ensures you have to crawl underneath to reach sockets very inconveniently placed there. Just a few coat hangers on a rail had to suffice as a wardrobe substitute which was not ideal as I had my wedding suit and outfit with me.

Location, nice bed linen. The building is beautiful and a superb location. The bar area is the best and the staff are accommodating. The food is often good with an interesting menu.
I’ve stay in various rooms. The bed are comfortable but some of the rooms decor could do with refreshing. The prices have almost doubled, understandable yet the rooms are starting to appear tired. The breakfast staff can be a tad unfriendly.

It was our favourite room during our 4 week trip! It was clean, cozy, comfortable and the staff were so accommodating! They held our luggage as we arrived hours before our check in. We also had our best meal in their restaurant. We loved the location too.
There was nothing we did not like.
