The Plantation Koh Tao

Beautiful view, very clean and well run! Aircon throughout and very helpful owner and staff.

Could have better coffee facilities and provide pool as well as shower towels, also the three bedroom villa is more two separate properties and the lower one was in comparison to the amazing top view quite dark. Also could have anti mosquito stuff and maybe a bit more authentic Thai decor - instead of fake plastic flowers, but only minor details.

The view was beautiful over the Sairee beach coast line. The pool was a lovely, fairly small, just for dipping not swimming. The accommodation was good, 2 bedrooms. The staff were exceptionally helpful and the owner even popped by. Complementary collection from the pier was nice on arrival. Not too far to travel from the pier.

In comparison to other places we stayed this was much more expensive, you were paying for the view (which was lovely!) it was walkable to the town if you are relatively fit, 10 minutes down and 15 minutes back up. You could easily get a taxi which was 400BHT for a 5 minute ride, so fairly expensive in comparison to other islands we stayed on.

The views were excellent and the apartment is a good size with lovely decor. The owner and staff were very friendly and helpful.

The aircon didn't work/was leaking so much water we couldn't use it and subsequently couldn't use the closet either as it was drenched from water. The aircon was fixed after two nights and worked perfectly then, but the first two nights were extremely uncomfortable. The cleaning wasn't up to standard for the amount of money we paid and the amenities were very minimal compared to other places we stayed at for a lot less money. The location is pretty remote but doesn't take too long to walk to the main area of the island. The stairs to the apartment are an absolute killer. Very, very steep and a lot of them. If that may be an issue for whatever reason, don't book this accommodation. Also, the outdoor light to our apartment didn't work and at night it was difficult to see.

Beautiful 2 bedroom villa and pool with an amazing view. We stayed here for 6 nights and are glad we booked a villa as there was a lot of rain during our stay so meant we had plenty of space to chill out. Everything was clean and comfortable, beds were great and the outdoor sofa area very comfy. Pool was lovely and refreshing and Phin helpful with recommendations when we needed it.

Note that it is very steep - we were in V2 which is near the top of the complex and were reasonably fit but still ended up sweating by the time we got to the top! Also there is no laundry service so if you’re not renting a scooter (we didn’t) you’ll either need to hand wash or take it elsewhere.
