Loved Koh Tao and Monkey Flower Villas - can't wait to go back

Idyllic. Like a little oasis of calm and tranquillity. It was wonderful to wake up & go for a dip in the pool while looking out at the wonderful view of the sea. The accommodation reminded us of a hobbit house, very quirky & niche. It has a loft area with 2 further double beds in. We were also surprised to find a key board up there! Steve is lovely and was always on hand to run you where ever you wanted to go & took us to some great beaches. The local restaurants also deliver to your door. Steve & Mo are lovely people and make you feel very welcome

Fantastic!

The view from the private pool was just amazing 😍. The Host Mo and Steve are great. It is not located straight at the beach and on a hillside so as such the sunset is the best. Steve can drop you to where ever you need to go. You get a phone and can call him when you would like to be picked up. Super convenient and nothing is to much of an ask. Very clean, good shower, great private pool and the bed sleeps very good. I certainly can recommend the place and would stay there again (if they have availability). A gem for sure!

Amazing time at Monkey Flower Villa

Wow what an amazing Property we had such an amazing time in Monkey Flower Villa with our Friends . The children and myself loved jumping off the roof into the pool . Gorgeous views . Very clean they come and clean your place every day . Steve was fabulous and on hand to Take you anywhere you want to go loved the burner phone we were given to communicate. Koh Tao is stunning and very Vibey we had such a good time . Also thanks to Mo told us everything we needed to know . The morning birdsong and croaking Frogs at night are something i won’t forget . Photos do not do Justice.

What an awesome place to spen Christmas with our family. We will definitely come back!

The views and location are amazing. Mo, Steve and the rest of the team could not have been more helpful and friendly. The beds are comfy, the towels are soft. Theres nothing quite like it with hidden sunset treehouse and fantastic swimming pool.

It’s a very steep drive. Luckily Steve was on hand to take us anywhere we wanted to go.

Most beautiful and peaceful stay with breath taking views of the island and gorgeous gardens

This was a truly unique and beautiful villa with the most breath taking views and exceptional gardens. So much care and thought has gone into making this space special and my family of 5, ranging from age 3 upwards had the most wonderful stay. It’s really nice to stay somewhere peaceful away from the frantic but exciting centre. The icing was having Steve the designated driver around the island who just made the trip and I don’t think we would have had as good time without him. Thank you

Loved everything- I don’t think I’d have enjoyed having my own car and risking the steep hill driving to the property!! Steve was extremely experienced!

Perfect little hideaway

The villa was perfect for us. Well equipped and very clean. Cute little pool. Sadly the weather wasn't kind to us so we didn't use it. Steve, the resident 'driver' was amazing and dropped us off and picked us up whenever we needed him.

If you are in anyway not good with steep hills, this is not somewhere for you. But that is very well explained before booking.

We loved Monkey Flower Villas. It was away from the hubub of Sairee, but with Steve who was available to drive us anywhere at anytime, it was convenient (= easy). The view to the ocean from high up, the pool, the beautiful gardens surrounding you was very tranquil. We were picked up by Steve at the ferry and Muhammad met us at the villa and showed us around. He was extremely helpful for ideas and anything we needed. Between him and Steve, our stay was very easy and pleasant. We ate out mostly, but there is plenty of equipment to make your own meals.

The villa is situated in the most beautiful area. It’s close to the main area and Steve was always on hand taking us around. I couldn’t believe how stunning the property and views are. Mohammed and Steve were wonderful hosts. I will come back again.

Perfect getaway with a wonderful view. Away from hustle and bustle but driver on hand at all times to take you where ever you wanted to go. Beautiful and clean. The private pool was a bonus. Fantastic staff who were so helpful.

Wonderful!

We’ve just left this morning and had such a brilliant time at monkey flowers. We loved everything about it but particular the service. Mo and steve were incredible. They helped us when our son was ill and it was so wonderful having steve to take us to all the places we wanted to go. He was also able to recommend the best beaches. We would love to come again! Thanks so much for having us!

An amazing jewel in the palms of Koh Tao

A stunning jewel hidden in the palms of Koh Tao. A simply amazing villa with beautiful rooms, an amazing vista, very thoughtfully and beautifully designed and built with stunning features, surrounded by huge amounts of wildlife. As soon as you arrive you will never want to leave. The building and location aside, the staff are AMAZING!!! Super helpful, thoughtful, kind, nothing is too much trouble, they will see that your every need is met, whatever it may be. Mo you are a total star, you and sausage (the dog) were so welcoming, your island insights really enriched our stay, thank you. Steve, best driver EVER!! We cannot tell you how much we enjoyed our stay because of you both and your lovely nature. I would recommend this beautiful place with these beautiful people to every single person I come across, as long as it means you still have space for us to return 🥰🌴🥰 We definitely left a piece of our hearts in Koh Tao with you 🥰

Amazing villa recommend 100% lovely service.

I love the property the rooms very spacious and beautiful and an amazing view. Service so good villa cleaned every day beds made lots of water everyday even some other beverages. Muhammed always available to message. Our friend fell over on bike and he helped him by cleaning and dressing his wound every day. Provided us lots of recommendations. Steve was amazing he would drive us anywhere we needed to go as the property was on a big hill however this was not an issue at all as Steve was always available when we needed him.

Nothing I loved everything the only thing was the villa being on a big steep hill however it wasn’t an issue at all as we had Steve drive us anywhere we needed everyday for free. Very good value for money. You can also rent a bike and muhammed will show you where.

Clean and comfortable

Very comfortable, clean and friendly staff. The driver service is great to get around, especially if you have small children. Fresh coffee was nice to have each morning

The accommodation is high on a hill, so you really are reliant on the driver service unless you have a scooter. A driver was excellent and usually instantly available, except for one instance where we felt a bit stranded waiting for an hour with no communication. There's also no really living/lounge area in the Bougainvilla (2 bedrooms), however the bedrooms are large. The loft is up a steep ladder, so we didn't use it at all

A very special couple of days with friends in this amazing villa

This villa is fab, the photos don’t do it justice. The pool and the view are amazing; everyone enjoyed jumping from the roof into the pool. There is lots of space for groups, you feel like you have your own areas for chilling. Attention to detail like fresh coffee beans, a grinder and percolator. Toiletries and both bath & pool towels provided. Mohammed was a great host, lots of fun ideas and information. Steve was a brilliant driver; they give you a mobile to call Steve whenever you need to be picked up/dropped off.

Steave and Mohammad really surprised us, they took care for everything that we need or ask, the villa was clean and beautiful, we love the jungle location feels so peaceful, for sum up I really enjoyed and recommend for everyone!! Also forgot to mention that you can fit 8 people in that villa and we were only two, so the price is definitely worth!

Beautiful mountain escape

The villa is unique and beautiful! From the outside it looks like a smurf house, and inside seeing the rock of the hillside as part of the walls of the villa is amazing. Bedrooms are spacious and cool. Kitchen is basic but fine for what you need. Pool is nice and deep but for dipping rather than swimming. Sunset is just behind a tree but the view from the pool is lovely. The location as the crow flies isn't crazy far from the beach but in reality you wouldn't want to walk it - it's up a very steep hill. The final unique and excellent thing about this place is called Steve - the villa comes with a driver, on call at all times, who will take you to and from anywhere on the island and who is also lovely. We'll be back!

A view to die for!!

The view!!!! The best we have ever experienced after many stays on Koh Tao. The pool with the swing chair was also lovely. Having access to Steve the taxi driver was great and definitely necessary for this villa. Mo was very responsive if anything needed done and the rooms were well cleaned by the staff with fresh pool towels every day. I loved the rustic feel of the villa with the big rocks in rooms etc.

This isn’t really a negative, more something to note if you are travelling with small children: having the amazing view means very steep hills to access the villa - we were travelling with babies so the taxi drives felt a bit treacherous (especially because Koh tao was experiencing a lot of unseasonable rain!). It wouldn’t put us off returning though. The Villa could do with some decorative updates especially in the kitchen area

There’s no place else I would recommend more than this place

very clean, appears small but is spacious - a group of 4 stayed here comfortably! We loved the speaker, the insect killing spray they had and the pool - though we didn’t get to use it much due to the rain. The views truly make up for it though! also Steve the driver is a gem, he’s extremely kind and patient and helpful - thanks Steve!

The most beautiful Villa overlooking the sea. Clean and tidy. Fruit provided and own kitchen facilities to use. Beautiful pool. Steve and Muhammad so lovely and helpful. Steve picked us up whenever and wherever we needed and Muhammad was always available to contact and answer any questions. Highly recommend as its the people that make places when travelling 🥰🙏🩷

beautiful but not toddler friendly

amazing view, great housekeeping that paid a lot of attention to detail, beautiful pool. Steve and Mo are soooo attentive and drive you around whenever you want.

we had a 2 year old toddler with us and that came with some challenges. many steep stairs. kitchen is on lower floor. because the house consists of 2 separate entities it’s not possible to use the small bedroom on the lower floor for kids. so we ended up putting extra mattresses in the bedrooms upstairs. it was totally fine but we barely used the downstairs.

Superb stay with outstanding hosts.

Beautiful well appointed villa. Stunning views. cleaned to a high standard. The welcome fruit and drinks was much appreciated. Above all the hospitality shown by Muhammad and Steve was outstanding, nothing was too much trouble. They provided a mobile phone and drove us wherever we wanted to go.

Spectacular

this place is spectacular. it’s hidden away up a fairly steep track which means you’re out of the hustle and bustle, and you get the most incredible views possible. quite frankly, once you’re there you just want to fully enjoy the facilities and you won’t want to leave. there’s plenty of choice for food via take away menus from some really special restaurants. we only did one night, but could happily have stopped longer. truly beautiful.

Steve and Mohammed were awesome hosts. They went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. They were extremely reliable when we needed to get around, we never waited more than 10 minutes. It was an awesome holiday!
