The Little Annexe

Rachel's little annex was delightful. Rachel was a helpful host, providing local knowledge and giving us bread and croissants for breakfast. The room contained a fridge with butter, spreads, water, milk and juices. There were also cereals available. Also a toaster and microwave. The annex was very comfortable with a large double bed, 2 easy chairs and chests of drawers and hangers, so we didn't have to live out of a suitcase. The room was clean and larger than we thought it would be. It was a warm room even after we turned the radiator off and a fan was provided for really hot days. There was a little shower room on the side. The annex had a private drive and private entrance, which felt safe. And although it was next to a public path it was quiet at night. One of the great things about the accommodation was that it was only a 15 minute walk into Stamford, thereby saving us parking charges. Burghley House could also have been walked to in about 30 minutes. The cost was very reasonable and we would definitely stay again and recommend to friends.

It was a little frustrating that there was no WiFi available when we visited, but Rachel was very apologetic about not warning us.

Rachel was very welcoming. The accommodation was very well presented and clean. The breakfast provided was fresh and more than adequate. Facilities to make hot drinks and use of a microwave were also appreciated. The location was close to large supermarkets and the centre of Stamford. Rachel was really helpful with answers to any queries we had. Definitely to be recommended.

Unfortunately the WiFi connection wasn't brilliant, but that was easily surmounted with usage elsewhere.

Ideal position, easy walk into town. Host very friendly, helpful and welcoming. Parking available at the property. Quite private. Comfortable bed.
