Lovely room, well presented with glamorous wall mirrors and rich, deep green decor. Clean and tidy, friendly staff. Noise from town centre was very mild which was a pleasant surprise. Nice hot shower with shampoo etc provided. Nice warm, puffy duvet and pillows.
I missed that there was no parking unless you get lucky with street parking. We parked opposite Lidl which is free after 6pm & on Sundays.
It was also uncomfortably hot in our room shortly after we arrived, but was able to turn the radiator down and open the window.

Staff was very welcoming
Rooms was clean
Walking distance to town
No parking but did find a car park behind £7 per day
Charging me £20 per night for my small dog
Whilst loading my bags I parked on the streets outside the property & received a parking fine

It was a really fantastic location with beautiful rooms.
The rooms could have been warmer on arrival and it was a little difficult to gain entrance initially.

It was in the centre
There was no parking outside until late at night. We did get change of room, but was told there was two other rooms to choose from but on route to show us the room there's now only one room available which was in the attack.small double room with the eves in so you can only walk one side of the bed, the room was red hot which was fine at first but trying to sleep was a joke. I did manage to turn the radiator down eventually but in the morning it was clearly turned off so was freezing in there with it being in the loft, we had a shower not very powerfull but was warmer than being in the room. We booked for two nights but left that morning as we couldn't of gone another night in that room.there was a small swivel mirror on the desk which wasn't very useful considering you couldn't stand up straight due to the eves being there, one of the wall lights had no bulb the other had no cover on it and was positioned behind the TV

Lovely old building, friendly, helpful staff, central location
Bit difficult to find from outside. Decaf coffee would be nice in the room.

I come to Grantham regularly for work and have stayed at a few places and this is by far the nicest. Warm, comfortable and pretty rooms and lovely reception staff. I don’t stay long enough to get much more of an impression but I’d definitely stay again especially with such reasonable prices.
It’s a little tricky to find from the parking and the front door could do with a clearer sign for first time visitors.

Very cosy and convenient.
The number I was given to contact the owner didn’t work. There isn’t any parking .

The actual room was clean and tidy. Location is good. Bathroom not so.
You could not report issues as there was no management at the property. The room was like an oven and the radiator thermostat was broken. As such I had to sleep with the sash window wide open. This on a very busy road. But worse the smell from the drains in the bathroom was at the very best unpleasant. I resorted to putting towels in the sink and shower tray. to stop the smell. The next morning, still no management, i went to the owners other property the Angel and Royal, reported all this to the lady on reception and she said as the owner was away I will ensure the hotel manager here calls you this morning. Of course that didn't happen either. Might explain the reviews that hotel has. I did say i'd rather not leave a negative review. I also asked for a VAT invoice which has taken over a week to get and its not even an invoice but a statement.

The room was clean and comfortable
The child upstairs constantly banging on the floor - the radiator in the shower room did not work and there is a shade missing on one of the wall lights.

Good location, character
Bathroom was cold, unclean and smelled. We didn’t have a shower because it was so uninviting!
There was a big pile of rubbish bags just outside the room (outside ground floor access room).

Location is in the centre of Grantham, although no parking directly, there is a pay and display car park nearby. The rooms had character.
Poor cleaning, plenty of cob webs around, no mattress protector on the bed, a strange guy on check in who insisted on spending a lot more time with our female colleagues than our male colleagues in showing them around their rooms, my toilet seat was not attached to the toilet, and presented a real challenge in using it. The room smelt damp and mouldy, and this was not isolated to my room, but experienced by a number of other colleagues. This is more a B&B than a hotel, staff not on site 24/7.

Great location, really liked the decor in the room and public areas which was stylish and individual, cleanliness and facilities were to a high standard. Check-in was quick friendly and efficient. For the price, this is one of the nicest prlaces I have stayed in for sometime. Will definitely be booking again.
Minor improvements to the room (rather than dislikes)
Lavatory seat was loose and not attached to the pan.
Would have been nice to have a glass (or plastic beaker) in the bathroom
Shower needed a tray to put soap and shampoo on
Another light on the table to make doing make-up easier would have been helpful.
The room (4) was great and these are just minor points which did not spoil our stay in anyway.

Location is great, so close to town centre and few shops around too. Free on street parking was good, but half of the road was not usable due to roadworks - still managed to park nearby.
Room was big, beds were very comfy! It was really quiet despite our opened windows.
Not a fan of the bathroom - disabled access, but it worked just fine.

Clean and comfortable period hotel in pleasant historic part of the town. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice period lounge for guests to use and garden area. Easy parking nearby, with good restaurants. Sunday lunch at the Angel and Royal was superb. Piccola Venezia was also excellent.

Unfortunately woken up by road being dug up on a Sunday morning as room was roadside, however I cannot hold Archway house responsible. Overall a pleasant stay

The walls were painted an interesting colour. The shower ran hot eventually.
The manager was unfriendly and unreasonable. The staff were miserable-looking. The hotel itself was pretty dingy and worn. It had been spruced up with bright paint but that didn't hide the poor quality.

.Location of accommodation to the Parish Church
It may surprise some people, but my breakfast (at the Angel Hotel) was far, far too big to be enjoyed, despite limiting the items on my plate to three choices.
One shower door was not in it's runner; the (sash) window would not stay open, without being supported by my mug; the room was a little claustraphobic (yes, I know you only get what you pay for); having to transport my belongings from the public car park in the high street to the accommodation; the poor signposting of the Archway Property.

The trouble was not with Marius, but the proprietor. Also shocked to find RACIST Memorabilia in the lounge area. I have notified the Liverpool Museum to remove this item immediately and process my refund. I also attempted to book another night, but was turned away when I tried to bring my Jewish cousin, James, a Grantham local, to stay with me.
They said there was a 'problem' with the room. To turn someone away for spilling mushy peas on the floor is a rancid, pathetic excuse to shield the prioritor's racism.
It appears that the host's racism and rudeness know no bounds. Unluckily for him, my Jewish stepfather, Peter Baker, is the lawyer for the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, so check that.
The racism
