It was just right and convenient for me, a one-night stay and in a historic building.

Spacious room, comfortable bed. Furniture tending to the dark/heavy wood variety, I suppose in keeping with the age of the hotel itself, part of which dates back to the C13th. Very good modern bathroom, probably renovated recently. Clean and neat and quiet. A very good breakfast with plenty of choice, which has to be booked separately. All the staff I spoke to were friendly, informative and helpful.

A somewhat drab view from this particular room, looking over adjoining flat roof and back of nearby buildings. If the space between, a sort of wide alley, is the responsibility of the hotel, it should be stated that there was a fair amount of litter there.; maybe it isn't theirs, in which case there is no complaint!

Adorable hotel, fab staff, great price, food was amazing. So glad we found it. I love that it is old and quaint. The little snug was gorgeous

The hotel was very cosy, although the heating wasn’t working, there was a stand alone heaters on hand, so the room was lovely and warm. Didn’t have breakfast there, so can’t comment on the food. Stayed in room 117.

I’d love to say that the property was the main attraction, but it was the staff. From when I arrived and couldn’t find

The fact that it had character, it was easily accessible from the car park-of which was greatly situated. The reception area was really cute. The bath was lovely. The bathroom immaculately clean. Good warning signs re the slippery floor/bath. The water was hot. I lived that.

It was so cold. Very cold. We looked at the dads but they were (sadly) at their highest.

The location, history and architecture was fantastic. The carpark was extremely close which is always beneficial. The staff were friendly.

The quality of the room was disappointing. The carpet was old and worn out. The bathroom sink wouldn’t drain the water for ages after you washed your hands. And the toilet would not flush easily. Something seemed wrong with the flush. We called reception on the evening we arrived but there was no answer.

Such a beautiful historical building. A late booking, but couldn’t be happier. The deluxe room was so nice, we slept so well. Although we hadn’t booked a dinner reservation, they fitted us in and wow!!! The food was exceptional, a fine dining experience for sure.

The hotel is in need of am update in most accommodation areas to include corridors and rooms.

We had an enjoyable meal on Tuesday night even though we were staying elsewhere, my junior suite was very nice but this was after paying to change rooms even though the heating was their problem, not mine!

The room I was initially given was cold as the heating was not working. I was offered an electric heater but this wasn't what I had pod for and not what I wanted. The bathroom was in very poor condition. Really dirty and really needs to be overhauled. The receptionist was abrupt and quite rude. This was not a welcoming experience from the get go even though we had stayed previoulsy!
