The Avenue Hotel

Recently taken over it seems by new owners, they had a very friendly welcome, with a built in pub, it might not be to everyone's taste, but they welcomed me into the bar and pool room, whilst karaoke and raffles were going on amongst a small and friendly clientele. It was a nice way to pass an evening whilst travelling through. Room was great, extremely comfortable and spacious.

location and comfortable bed

cant think of anything

The friendly welcome and budget price. Also clean and comfortable and in a convenient location.

The shower in our room didn’t work. It was late at night so we didn’t report it until the morning, I’m sure if we had reported it earlier they would have tried to fix it.

Room and location were fine.

On arrival we were told that they don't do breakfast, then told later that there would be breakfast served, but dining room closed when we tried the next morning at 8.30a.m. The staff weren't quite what you'd expect for a hotel!! Is this a workman's hotel? Signs re. taking off workboots, no smoking in entry lobby etc.
