About as close to being at home away from home as it gets

In fact better than at my current home :-) as described a fully equipped kitchen at your disposal 24 h, a very nice room with a view to the garden - shared (with a second room, not the owner) shower and toilet, all in perfect order, in a quiet neighbourhood, in a well maintained house of the turn of the century (1900) - 5 min to bus stop - all I needed, could easily spend the whole time there (but was on a dance weekend in Berne)

Charming old house in the city centre with a great host

Beautiful, centrally located old house with a lot of charm, style, and history. Evelyne is an exceptional, friendly, attentive, respectful host. I stayed only for one night but was impressed. All the facilities are there, it is very comfortable and fully renovated. Thank you very much! Will gladly come back.

Welcome to your home away from home!

Beautiful location and not too far from everything in Bern via a short ride on tram #12. Evelyn was a wonderful hostess providing me with some milk for evenings and mornings and an extra pillow. She even gave me a postcard (which she sells for a few francs) that she made herself (she’s a photographer), and she even mailed it for me! At least, I have faith that she did, we have yet to receive it at home. ;-)

Would have loved breakfast (like other B&Bs I booked in Bern in the past) and if a fan could be provided for really hot days, that would certainly be nice. It gets rather stuffy on the 3rd floor even with windows open for cross-ventilation.

Great place to save money and be in the city center

Close to the city center (10m walking), clean room, shared kitchen and bathroom. Very friendly host. Free public transport, bus closeby.

Great stay close to the old city centre of Bern

Evelyn is very friendly and everything is very clean and the bed is very comfy, I slept very well! Old city is on walking distance and also very easily reachable by public transportation.

Beautiful accommodation, lovely host, convenient location

The location was charming and quaint- only an 8 min walk from the Bear park with beautiful views of the city. It sits on a hill, so even the bus ride to and from the city were nice. Also, Evelyn is such a kind and gracious host! I highly recommend staying here. This is her family home and very well kept. The garden is lovely to sit in. The kitchen and bathroom are modern and were always clean. The shared bathroom and kitchen were not a problem at all, I only had to share it with one other person.

I tore my ligaments so climbing the stairs was a bit difficult- the accommodation may not by the most disability friendly since you have to walk up about two flights of stairs. Evelyn was kind enough to help me bring my bag up and down the stairs!

Ich komme wieder.

Die Lage ist für meine Bedürfnisse genial, da das Zentrum zu Fuss innert wenigen Minuten erreichbar ist und es aber doch nicht ganz im Zentrum liegt. Ich schätze die Ruhe dieses Quartiers sehr. Die Unterkunft ist sehr schön und heimelig eingerichtet. Die Zimmer und die gesamte B&K Etage ist mit altem Holzboden verlegt, optisch ein Traum. Ich fühlte mich bloss gezwungen sehr auf Zehenspitzen zu gehen, da man wirklich jeden Schritt hört - was, etwas ungünstig ist, wenn man komplett unterschiedliche Schlafens- und Wachzeiten hat, als die Gästin des Nachbarszimmers. Kein Minuspunkt, aber gut zu wissen.

Großartige Ausgangsbasis für einen Besuch in Bern mit herzlicher Gastgeberin

Die Unterkunft ist extrem gut ausgestattet und angenehm für einen tollen Preis. Die Küche ist außergewöhnlich gut ausgerüstet mit Utensilien, Kräutern, Öl, Sirup, etc. Die Zimmer sind simpel und bequem. Evelyn ist eine ganz wundervolle Gastgeberin, die sich herzlich und aufmerksam um ihre Gäste kümmert. Der Bus fährt um die Ecke ab, damit ist man immer fix in der Stadt. Sogar den hübschen Garten oder das Esszimmer kann man mitbenutzen. Hier bekommt man wesentlich mehr als in jedem Hotel und zahlt gleichzeitig weniger. Vielen lieben Dank an Evelyn!

Das Kopfkissen war nicht nach meinem Geschmack, da ich lieber feste Schaumkissen als flache Federkissen habe.
