Brilliant! Highest quality down to the smallest of details

Absolutely amazing! By far exceeded any expectations, if anything this is doggy hotel which also welcomes their ‘hoomans’ Every little detail was perfect And for saying dogs are allowed , you’d never know ! We didn’t hear a peep from any other dogs and the place was immaculate and didn’t smell of dogs either, it was perfect!!! Defo recommend defo stay again!

Relaxing and welcoming

Lovely place to stay for humans and canines. Really clean, well-appointed room, friendly and professional, within easy walking distance of shopping centre and 20 minute walk to beach.

It was fine.

Large rooms. Free upgrade. Comfortable bed/bath linens. Nice extras (calming sleep spray for sheets, face masks, slippers).

Some decor was dated (ie: wallpaper). Carpet had spots.

We couldn’t use the mini fridge due to some odour.

A lovely hotel a 15 minute walking distance from the high street

A lovely hotel a 15 minute walking distance from the high street. Off-road parking is available for about 7 or 8 cars, so off-peak parking was no problem for me. The owner Lucy was very helpful and flexible with my check-in and check-out timing. There was a fridge in the room. A mini-mart is opposite the hotel, and Asda just over the main road, so buying essentials is on the door step. Several different types of coffee available in the room for the coffee machine.

No iron & ironing board in the room. I'm sure Lucy would have provided one if I asked.

Perfect place

The girl that runs the hotel was absolutely lovely. So friendly. What a fantastic dog friendly place this is. Horace, my cooker poo, was given a welcome pack of a collapsible bowl with his name on it, pack of treats, container with calming biscuits, a ball on a rope and he was also given the use of a blanket & towel. On the morning he had a breakfast menu to choose from. Our breakfast was also delicious. The hotel itself was clean , comfortable & nicely decorated , I would recommend this place to anyone. Whether you gave a dog or not. Thank you for a lovely stay

Friendly Dog Hotel

Lucy was a very welcoming host with two beautiful dogs Sage and Jet...Very clean B&B..Very reasonable price at a great location...Only 15 minute walk to the sea front...

My only very slight comment is the shower temperature is quite temperamental and runs very hot..

Good stay

The Ashleigh is very well located, literally a few steps away from Bournemouth railstation and coach station. It is not in the city centre but fairly close and it's well connected with public transport (which works well). The room was spacious, the bed comfortable and the private toilet functional. Staff was very welcoming and kind and the stay overall was good. We didn't have breakfast and we did not have pets with us, so I cannot say anything on these points. The hotel and the surrounding area were quiet at night, a huge plus indeed. A coffee machine with pods, a kettle and hot chocolate were also provided and worked very well.

There was an unpleasant smell in the room, which was quite bothering us from the very moment we arrived. I mentioned this to the manager and I hope they fixed the problem by now. Also, the booking listed a refrigerator among the items included, but the one we had was really minuscule and we could barely put a small bottle inside.

My partner want to come again and he never visits the same place as rather explore other places.

Breakfast was cooked to order and was scrummy. We also had the choice of cereal, yoghurts and crossionts. Coffee/Tea/toast was also provided. Lucy is very friendly and made you feel welcomed.

Truly Dog friendly hotel

Truly dog friendly, 20 minutes walk to the beach, close to the train station, felt secure, very welcoming host who clearly runs the hotel with great care and attention to detail.

Not enough shower pressure and the water did not drain properly. The room itself was comfortable, however very hot. There was a fan provided which made the nights more bearable, unfortunately we were not able to leave the window open as there was lots of noise from the street.

Such a great hotel, we loved the nice little touches to the room - the selection of teas, coffees and little treats were great too. I loved how this place is all about the dog visitors, next time I’ll definitely bring my dog!

Very dog friendly. Dogs were made very welcome. My dogs even had a welcome present a bowl with their names on, a toy and some treats

These days, you don't often see people running their businesses with such passion. But that's exactly what Lucy does. She has an exceptional knack for thinking of everything to make sure you, and especially your four-legged friends, have a great time.

What a fabulous proper dog friendly hotel

Lucy welcomed us in and we soon realised that this was not a dog tolerant hotel - this was truly a dog friendly hotel in the truest sense of the phrase. Personalised (for which read dogs name) dog water bowl, toy, tub of Sir Woofchester’s dog treats, a dog towel in case you take your dog to nearby beaches and a dog blanket if they slept on your bed. They also offer a doggy breakfast! Rooms were comfy, large and equipped with fridges, top range coffee makers, kettle large mugs and best of all a teapot! Breakfast for humans was top notch also!

The most friendly staff ever that couldn’t do enough for you, the dog hamper that we got to take home was such a lovely touch, great location, the most dog friendly place we have ever stayed!! We loved it.

The pillows and quilt were quite uncomfortable, they could maybe do with an upgrade but we would still return over and over again!

Staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, loved the welcome gifts for my dog. Very personal and tailored service. The breakfast was delicious and loved the homemade bread! Would definitely stay again.

WOW! If you hotel with your Dog this is a MUST place to stay.

To say this is a dog-friendly hotel is an understatement. The number of thoughtful ideas to make our stay with our Yorky a special trip was amazing. Even down to a dog dressing gown, pet-friendly easter egg and a dog bowl with our dog's name on it which we could take home.

The area isn't the best but the hotel makes up for that and if like us your using it as a base to see the whole area it was great

Functional but not somewhere I would return.

Person who greeted me was very friendly and helpful, had upgraded me to a room at the back of the hotel away from the road. Lots of little extras, slippers, dressing gown, welcome pack, water - bonus.

Bed very uncomfortable, pillows poor quality. Room dated in most respects, wallpaper, carpet, shower room. All a bit 80’s and could do with completely remodelling.
