The best place to stay in Rio if you’re looking for a private getaway from the city, with breathtaking views

We loved the setting and the style, and it was clear that every single detail had been thoughtfully considered. The architecture, just like the views, is incredible. The whole team Gabriel, Andre, and Marcello were wonderful. The food was exceptional, and our room was simply amazing.

There isn’t anything not to like about it.

Great and calm place with awesome view

I normally do not give reviews. But the Cliffside Hotel was a very special and extraordinary place to stay, calm with a great view and you will only hear the waves (and some helicopters passing by ;-) ). Old architect building with a special Charme. Thank you for this stay and the warm welcome from the team around Paulo, the lodging manager, Gerson and Chef Andre (great individual food!). Great team, always helpful and in a good mood. We will definitely come back. If you want to escape the intense atmosphere of Rio for a couple days, this is the place to go. Very individual place to be. Thank you Paulo, Gerson, Andre and the whole team!

We arrived at the house and as soon as we entered we were shocked by the beauty of the Place. The architecture and the furnitures are a piece of art, every single detail shows taste and intelligence. Beautiness doesn't end inside the house but flourish outside as well, in a beautiful garden full of stairs and plants, facing the most incredible view of the Ocean. This house breath history, I call It 'house' and not 'hotel' because back in the days It was actually a house and the atmosphere of íntimacy and coziness are the one of a house lived by people, not only professionals. And that Is the most beautiful side of this Place: the people. The staff was super professional in every aspect but also incredibly warm and Easy to talk to. They helped us in all sorts of things, showing real care and flexibility. Last but not least this Place have a special secret for the One Who enjoy Brazilian music, but i don't want to spoil it because the host must enjoy telling this incredible surprise

An absolute hidden gem for anyone searching searching for a place to relax in Rio.

I had the great opportunity to stay at the Cliffside in March, and I have nothing but praise for all the hotel staff. From the first contact with the hotel, I was treated with politeness and professionalism. The hotel has an excellent location inside a community with 24/7 security. The room had a beautiful sea view and was extremely clean and comfortable. Every member of staff I encountered, from check-in to cleaning staff, was outstanding and always on hand to help me. The restaurant had a wide variety of food; I enjoyed meeting the chefs Leonardo and André. They were attentive, with a wide array of dishes to choose from. Finally, I want to thank the owner, Marcelo, whom I had the pleasure of meeting and talking to during my stay. It was very clear that his goal was that each guest’s experience was nothing but phenomenal, something he accomplished with my stay. I will definitely return to Cliffside more often and recommend it to everyone who wants to go to Rio and have a more relaxing and catered experience.

Marcello and his people did everything to make this a memorable experience. We were greeted by the chef inquiring about our dinner preferences to make us the perfect meal on the cliffside.

The hotel is located in one of the most beautiful places in Rio, with breathtaking views from the moment you are arriving. The history of the house, the rooms, the food, and the natural water pool, make it a unique stay. Chef André and Marcello were excellent hosts, making our stay extremely special.

this is a very unique accommodation. From outside it doesnt look like a hotel. From inside its more than impressive. Marcello the very lovely owner tegarded us at the entrance and explained everything about the property and the house which was planed buy a great architect in a Japanese style. The complete stay was one of the very best we ever had and we only can suggest it to anybody who loves to stay in a very special place. I have not forget to mention the breathtaking view over the ocean where can can have a look for hours from the top. Thanks for this great experience Margot and Achim Herold, Germany
