cheap option for the location. good breakfast. nice view at the water. nice volunteer. they were supportive and chill.

my room had this wet smell. It was rainy and the house is at the water, probably just normal. bathrooms were partly dirty. good for crashing a cheap night, but would not have wanted to stay longer.

Cute spot, easy going vibe

Great place, small and cozy, relaxed atmosphere. Social, affordable and nice breakfast. Close to the centre, decent WiFi, great base to explore Paraty. Staff are friendly and kind. They have their own boat and organise trips, I didn't go,but wished I had - the others who went had a fantastic time!

Wifi was good. Location was excellent. I loved sitting out by the river and watching the people go by! It was awesome! Running along the river was fun as well.

It was a bit out of the way, but only five minutes walking to restaurants and bars. The historic center was 10 minutes walking.

Cute place to enjoy you stay in Paraty. Really friendly staff and good breakfast with the classic brazilian fruit, cake, white bread, cheese, hot drinks, sweet cornflakes You can rent a kajak for a small fee and start right from the terass of the hostel:)

Rather a small hostel, so you need a bit of luck to find people to do things together (especially for solo travelers)

Cheap and good location

For the price, this hostel fits the standards and the water front is nice. The breakfast is complete and served for 2-3 hours which is very convenient. It's also less than 5 minutes away from the historic center.

It doesn't look as nice as the pictures (many things are broken here and there) and the bathrooms were dirty most of the time. The staff is not very present nor friendly appart for one volunteer, David, who was nice.

such a lovely hostel, right on the river, the staff were lovely there are kayaks to rent. The breakfast is really nice also. The rooms are relatively small but we didn’t spend much time in there anyway. all in all loved this hostel and would definitely go back 😊

The kitchen and communal space were good. The breakfast was great! The location was good, 5 minutes away from the bus station and the supermarket. Lots of places to shower/toilet which were cleanish.

We stayed in a dorm and we felt that the room was damp, smelt slightly and air con didn’t work properly.

Staff. That is what makes the place. They go above and beyond. They take care of you at all times. Even after a long day of work, Lara, without asking, brought me a warm plate of food on a cold rainy day.

The place is old. Is starting to put on the years. The showers are not really warm, the rooms are a bit dirty, and sofas are not comfy.

The room was very dirty, smelly and full of mould! Property is located in a shady area of the town. We couldn’t stay there because of the mould. Owner said that’s ok and will give us a refund, since the payment was taken in advance. We never received it, so ended up paying for a room we never stayed in.

The staff weren’t very friendly and it was hard to know at times who was working there. The hostel was a lot older than the pictures and our room was damp.

they had a power cut and they were open and honest with us and said they would refund our stay. projected 3 days to get the power back on so we moved as we were only staying for 3 nights

Photos are very misleading, they appear to have been taken a long time ago as the hostel is a lot more aged than this and areas for relaxing are nowhere near this nice. Overall the hostel was quite rundown, beds and bedding was old and didn't smell clean.

- hostel was super quiet when I was there, may have been out of season. not ideal for solo travellers to meet others. - only had 1 bathroom (shower and toilet), even with a handful of people there with getting ready at similar times can be a bit of a pain

Nice staff. Decent location, short walk to old town and bus station.

Room was dark and dingy. Bathroom door didn't close properly. Shower wasn't hot. Smelly around kitchen area from the river. A/C didn't really work. Breakfast very, very basic. Photos look a lot better than reality.
