Amazing location and great staff

Location and staff were fabulous. We did the boat tour with them and it was excellent!

We would have liked the rooms to be a little bigger and the air conditioning a bit quieter to make our stay perfect.

Good location, bad night’s sleep

The location was fantastic, and breakfast was good.

It was so noisy at night. Rain hit the aircon machine outside our room all evening. It was very loud and we didn’t get a wink of sleep. We also heard people talking in the corridor all night. The manager did move us to another room, which we were grateful for, but then there was a massive storm. This isn’t the hotel’s fault but because they have very thin windows and doors it meant we had a second bad night’s sleep.

The personal was very nice! We had a problem in a dorm one night with loud people, and they reacted on it. They gave us great suggestions to visit Paraty and the surroundings. Breakfast was very good! The location is very good! Give you towels.

If you are in the dorms there is only 1 bathroom (including toilets) for girls / 1 for men. There isn't any locker to put bags, the available lockers are only very small. The hostel has too much decoration, and the space can be used for useful things like lockers, space to hangout. The rooms are very small, the bunkbeds doesn't feel very safe.

Everything is beautiful. We start with the hostel manager, who is fluent in the English language, good hospitality, and puts in effort to ensure the comfort and satisfaction of the guests in the hostel. Cleanliness is the most important of all, the location on the bank of the canal.

In the male dorm, it's gets pretty loud right outside the room from around 8am. The shared kitchen outside was pretty dirty, I usually like to cook but I didn't bother with this one. Shower wasn't hot. 1 multi-use bathroom shared within 6, so could be waiting a bit. Not all beds have plug sockets

The location is perfect. The staff are very friendly and helpful. specially Erik is so kind and was willing to go out of his way to be helpful. and the girl working in reception, I don’t recall her name is also very sweet even though she spoke very little English . They also arranged for a boat ride and Jeep tour at a very fair price . Thank you Erik and staff

The female dorm room is too small and there is no natural light. one window is permanently shut so poor ventilation.

they put me in a dorm on the roof, completely open (and no AC!), very cramped (if I sat up even partially I would’ve hit my head on the roof beam, not much more than half a meter between bunk beds) and they charged me the same for this room as I paid for the following nights with AC

Nice shared spaces and good breakfast

Nice shared outdoor space. The bedroom I was in was pretty basic with offensive overhead lighting, but the bed was comfortable with plenty of bed sheets and blankets. The kitchen although small and basic was sufficient for me to cook a meal while I was there.

The location is a little removed from the historical part of the city. I would've like the hostel to do something social so those staying there could get to know each other more easily.

doesn't weight up the bad sides

i have never been robbed in brasil until i booked this place. its a shame from them to make people book 4 nights over the carneval period, its a total abuse of the market position. other then that the situation in the room was catastrophic. 4 double beds on minimal space, no air-conditioning with the mattress being extremely thin. don't expect to get much sleep there. when i left after 1 night instead of the 4, i got offered to stay in another room "cause the conditions up there are really not good". so they are fully aware of what they did. do yourself a favor and stay away

I loved the location of the hostel as it was right in front of one of the canals and also very central.

I was travelling alone as a young women, but the place had a more family environment. I would have loved more of a young traveler vibe.

For private rooms & quiet nights in the center, it's good - but avoid as a social solo traveller!

The house is big and right next to the river, with a great location 2min walking from the main road and close to the historical center. Breakfast was rich, diverse and very tasty, which was a big plus. The majority of rooms being private/family rooms and that's what the clientele reflected when I was there. It gets very quiet there at night.

I arrived at the location in the evening and was a bit surprised that it was so different from what I was expecting from its reviews and photos. The dorms are squeezed with bunk beds, everything is a bit outdated. The bathrooms for dormitories are very basic, no hand soap either. The dorms were super hot despite the fan that was running. I was not really feeling too comfortable.

Perfect stay for solo travellers!

Very nice place to stay if you are travelling alone. Unlike other shared bedroom hostels, this one is very clean and the bathroom is shared with 5-6 people. Nivce common areas as well. Also the staff is very nice.

stable wifi, nice seating area, hot showers, towels included, The breakfast was amazing and the best I had in 11 months traveling! Good location

As an international solo traveler I felt a bit lonely. I am ok with being by myself but there I felt it. It is a great hostel but while I was there only one other non-brasilian person was there for one night and all other people only spoke portugues so I felt a bit excluded. Though I wanna mention that the staff can speak english.

Clean with a friendly staff. Close to the old city center as well. No need to drive just take a short walk. Plenty of good restaurants near by as well.

Our room was a bit cramped. Also to access the rooms you have a very tight spiral staircase. Not an issue for us but it could be for some. Overall very nice property though!
