Amazing and peaceful location, the inside could use an update

The location is superb. The house is located in a beautiful forest, very quaint with cows in the field and flowers in the garden. Good communication with host. The apartment is spacious, beds were clean.

The interior is pretty basic and oldfashioned. Worse, there are mots everywhere; in the sofa and the curtains. Its was clean, but everything could use a bit of updating. This makes the price also on the high side.

Our host was excellent.

As it was a beautiful old building, it was not as easy to have modern comforts like ensuites and having to go through the living room to get to the bathroom was inconvenient but not an issue. Bathroom could do with a little tlc.

It was with a friend and two kids and it was perfect for us as we had an event in Drogheda. Spacious, warm, quiet and beds very comfortable.

Beautiful apartment & location

Beautiful location and apartment. We walked the Boyne Valley Camino and stayed in the apartment for 2 nights. Was the perfect getaway, so relaxing and quiet. The apartment was super clean and had everything. Rob was a fantastic host, highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a relaxing nature escape!

Loved it and would return in a heartbeat.

The location was excellent to tour Newgrange and the Boyne Valley. Historical building and setting. Rob was a great host. Very quiet rural setting with the main Townley estate house on site and a lovely walk down to the river and cafe. You do need a car but local villages are very close and access to all you need is at hand. We stayed for a wedding in Slane and it was perfect.

Cosy stay in quaint settling

Great spot very quiet clean and well equipped of a little dated in places. But I was everything we needed for a short stay away from home.

Towels and decor ere a bit tired and dated in places one had a large hole and there was a bit of carpet missing though covered by a rug. Everything was clean though so can't ask for more than that for the price.

We loved everything from start to finish. The setting is idyllic and so relaxing , the perfect base for touring the area . Rob was so welcoming and on hand if we needed anything.

The sitting room could be organised to be more spacious. No need for the chest of drawers, takes up too much room. The mugs are tiny !

Easy place to stay for a couple of nights, with or without the family.

It was great location for Newgrange and Knowth. Also lovely surroundings in nature with plenty of walking options. Was quiet too and had all we really needed for a two night stop. Super comfy bed.

Cooking for a family was a bit tricky in the kitchen, but mainly as I am used to more space and more paraphernalia!

The apartments are in the country, surrounded by forests and a bucolic field of cows. Absolutely lovely. It’s helpful to have a car.

I’m allergic to black mould and there was some in the bathroom and bedroom. That was the only negative. Oh and need to bring your own laundry detergent.

Our stay was really good we visited Bru na Boine and Loughcrew and both were amazing.

The setting was very peaceful and we had lovely walks in the area.

A cheese grater and a few more kitchen tools would be good.
