We had a lovely time. 6 nights at Bunker cottage. It's very comfortable, spacious and well equipped. Very well positioned for exploring the Boyne Valley and its monuments. The cottage is on the banks of the Boyne, with river views.

Amazing space, great for families to chill. Loved the fireplace and how well the home was equipped. Loved the privacy!

The Bunker is lovely and large enough for a group of friends or family to stay together in comfort. The rooms were clean with lots of towels provided and the kitchen is equipped for at least ten people to socialise and eat.
It also has a huge garden big enough for a game of football if you have children. Its location is perfect for nature lovers overlooking the estuary and there are lots of walks nearby. A car is essential though as other amenities such as shops and restaurants are a distance away.
Having said that we were able to buy a Chinese takeaway from Bettystown and it was still hot when we got back. We would highly recommend this property.
The only slight negative was that the golf club close by was closed for renovations and we had hoped to eat out in their restaurant. So a longer drive was necessary to have a formal meal out ( obviously not something the Bunker owners had control over).

The cottage was good with the kids wee had a great time in Drogheda it was a beautiful town and the people are so friendly. But the cottage it’s self is in a farm which wee didn’t know until wee got there which is unsafe for children especially as I have a son with autism and adhd. The shower room was very cold as there’s no heater in it the bathroom door didn’t lock the washing machine was filled with towels and the chair off the kitchen table was broken.
I didn’t like that know one called to see if everything was ok as I have stayed in a lot off cottages and always had someone meet us at Them to show us around and show us how everything works and made sure that wee where comfortable before leaving.
