The road from Kirkcudbright to drive there. Single track with pot holes but the cottage is worth the journey!

Excellent cottage in a very good location for sightseeing around the area

Great location, very well stocked and comfortable furniture. The best value for money cottage we have stayed in.

Only fault was related just to me. I am only 4ft 8inches and there is no full length mirror or low one so had to take down the small mirror on the wall to do my makeup and hair.

Very spacious and comfortable. Had been fitted out and decorated to a high standard with good quality kitchen appliances. Fairly remote but very peaceful and lovely rural surroundings. Wi-Fi and TV with Netflix.

Almost impossible to find any fault. Place was very clean and well decorated but bin under kitchen sink hadn’t been emptied after previous visitors. Kitchen was extremely well fitted out and supplied with dishes, utensils etc but could have done with a sharp cook’s knife.

Lovely holiday kids and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

The cottage was great, very quiet and facilities very good, especially appreciated being able to do laundry on site.

Everything was grand with the cottage, pot holes on local roads were horrendous.

A very pleasant cottage with lovely views over the countryside. An extremely quiet and relaxing location that's not too far from local amenities. Very friendly and helpful hosts who do not impose. The cottage itself has pretty much everything required.

Very clean.so warm and cosy when you entered the property especially since it was February and stayed that way the whole visit.if you want a chilled,quiet holiday then I would definately say come and stay even though there are places to visit around the area.oh and 2 sweet cats that come and visit you which for me was a pleasure.thank you for a lovely visit.

This is only an observation but like alot of places we have stayed, a single duvet on a single bed is fine for a child but not for an adult as the duvets never seems to covers you properly,although we did find a large duvet we could use for the single bed, which was being used by an adult so all was good 👍

Wheelchair problems aside, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

The cottage was very spacious and was spotless. The heating was on for our arrival. There were no restrictions on using the heating, so we were lovely and warm during a cold visit. I liked that the cottage used environmentally friendly products.

Perhaps it was my fault for not reading the description properly, but I was not aware the shower was inside the bath. I had my wheelchair bound father with me, so he could use neither. It was also a challenge getting out and in the cottage with the wheelchair due to the gravel path and steps up into the cottage.

Spacious, comfortable, spotlessly clean, and quiet. The owners were very helpful, friendly and the accomodation was perfect.
