Fantastic !

Spacious, beautifully furnished, Gill was very helpful and we even arrived to find chocolates and fresh coffee from Gill’s shop. Also a lovely garden but unfortunately it was too wet outside for us to sit out this weekend. A really lovely stay and hope to return sometime.

Homely spacious dog friendly 1st floor apartment

Right on the main shopping street with free parking outside. The place was spacious and homely. Nice to have the option to sit at the big dining table in the living room or breakfast bar in kitchen. The bed was comfortable and settee too. Garden was good for our dogs to run around

We really liked this place but felt it was let down with simple mistakes like having only 3 hangers in the wardrobe ( which was sorted quickly), no tea bags at all in the tea jar and no poo bags for dogs which was listed as available. Also an old empty bottle of wine was in the wardrobe. It could probably do with a good spring clean and the garden looked scruffy with leaves not collected, moss on the patio and hedges overgrown.. I think a bit of complacency has crept in but I would still recommend this place.

Comfortable flat in a very central location, really nice host.

Really nice, comfortable flat, enclosed garden for dogs. Host was very friendly and appreciated fresh coffee and little box of chocolates.

No big issues, TV colour was affected on one side of screen, which I reported, also little things needed, like a fish slice, seperate chopping boards for meat and bread. These didn’t spoil enjoyment of this spacious comfortable flat.

Exceptional

What an amazing place! We travelled for a family funeral and were having difficulty finding a pet friendly family friendly accomodation in the area until we found you. We knew we were in for a very rough and difficult few days but this wee flat was our sanctuary. It was a lovely cosy space to retreat to and felt so warm and homely. We were greeted by a lovely lady in the shop below and the chocolates were a lovely touch and a big hit (especially for the children) not to mention delicious. The whole accomodation was Immaculately clean and the beds were so cosy (best nights sleep I've had in a long time) The bathroom was modern with a large bath and shower. "The big bath" was definitely my youngests favourite thing I reckon he was doing lengths and widths in there 😄 Netflix was a hit with my eldest and both loved the room and the bunk beds. It had great views over the street below for a spot of people watching especially at dawn when the sun is only starting to peer over the rooftops whilst the deliveries are arriving at the shops below. We loved the garden too and although we didn't use it as it is winter I just know it would be lovely in the summer Thank you for the lovely stay.

Been to this flat many times, it’s right on the Main Street in Castle Douglas. The flat is warm and cosy with comfy beds and furniture. The flat is clean and tidy.

Great location, spacious property, mattress needs changing!

We had a great time in CD, accommodation was really spacious and generally very comfortable. Great location.

Unfortunately bed mattress was not good for us as it was a bit lumpy and soft and had a torn plastic sheet underneath which made us sweat! I had to sleep on the sofa for half of last night so used the spare duvet. Unfortunately the outside rear lights were not working and I almost slipped on the steel stairs when taking the rubbish out last night. There was no soap powder or comfort, albeit we did not need but future guests might require. There was a dirty empty white bin bag found underneath the sink. We cleaned the bin which was smelling badly. Might want to check cutlery and crockery as only had 2 teaspoons! We’d love to come back but the mattress would certainly need changing if we were to book again.

Lovely relaxing family weekend.

Very warm welcome of chocolates and coffee from the shop underneath the flat on arrival. A lovely lady took us round the flat to show us everything. Very clean and cosy. Situated next to shops and close to a Loch for walking the dog.

Incredible

Everything was perfect, flat is so much bigger than it looks in pictures and the garden is massive too, the kids and adults were happy, and none of us ever got bored of hide and seek! Excellent Location, excellent hosts, excellent property. This property made our family holiday better than it would've been. The chocolates downstairs were delicious too, and the kids loved the hot chocolate stirrers, definitely worth a try! The windows in the living room are great for people watching, and there was even Netflix on the telly

Spacious and Comfortable Flat

The flat is ideally situated in the centre of Castle Douglas. It was very clean, comfortable and spacious....a real home from home. The lovely back garden is the perfect spot to relax in with a coffee or glass of wine. Gillian was very helpful, and we very much appreciated the little treats she left for us.

Location was great, right in the middle of the town. Flat was quite well equipped. Flat was spacious.

The bed was in need of changing. Plates and cutlery were a bit miss matched. The big settee fell apart down the middle. Needs to be repaired better.
