In House Garden Flat

Comfortable. Good base for exploring the surrounding area. Well equipped kitchen with washing machine. Lovely coffee shop downstairs with fabulous chocolates. Nice little tea room nearby. Some nice little shops on the same street. Would recommend Threave Estate and Threave Castle. Also visit Kippford for some beautiful views and a nice walk. Staff were helpful and friendly. Overall a good stay.

When we arrived the kitchen side had sugar across it and the sides were sticky so we had to wipe them down. Skirting boards were dusty and dirty in places and there were cobwebs and dust in the corner of the room I slept in and also some hanging from the kitchen ceiling. Radiators could have done with a clean as well.

Towels need replaced.blinds couldn't close in living room

The location was great, very helpful staff in the shop below where we collected the keys. House has everything we needed for our short stay , bars and restaurants all within walking distance.

Beds weren't to comfortable and quiet a lot of dust around floor level

We had a great time in CD, accommodation was really spacious and generally very comfortable. Great location.

Unfortunately bed mattress was not good for us as it was a bit lumpy and soft and had a torn plastic sheet underneath which made us sweat! I had to sleep on the sofa for half of last night so used the spare duvet. Unfortunately the outside rear lights were not working and I almost slipped on the steel stairs when taking the rubbish out last night. There was no soap powder or comfort, albeit we did not need but future guests might require. There was a dirty empty white bin bag found underneath the sink. We cleaned the bin which was smelling badly. Might want to check cutlery and crockery as only had 2 teaspoons! We’d love to come back but the mattress would certainly need changing if we were to book again.
