No bottle of water in the room

The location was excellent. It was clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff were so lovely and friendly.

The property was very tired. The windows didn’t shut very well so the loudness from the street was very loud most nights, the WiFI was not working the whole time. The aircon unit was also not working. The walls were paper thin so could hear snoring from the room next door. I did let the hotel know via the chat function in Booking.com but nothing was fixed so gave up.

The staff and location

The location was great. Right on the main shopping street and walking distance to many of the attractions. The check in staff Alessandra was very pleasant and responsive to messages. The property has a small elevator that stops on the 3rd floor and staff helped to carry our luggage up the stairs to our room on the 4th floor.

The room was not like the photos on Booking.com. The photos appear to be of rooms that have been staged. The actual room was very drab and felt quite depressing. The air conditioner was extremely noisy and constantly dripped water onto the window sill and floor. We had to use our towels to soak up the water that was pooling and eventually had to turn it off. We could only mention it to reception upon checkout as the reception is not manned after about 6pm. The room and shower did not feel clean. The decorative pillows on the bed were dirty and the cutlery was used. Someone (possibly housekeeping staff) came into the room without knocking in the morning. We cannot comment on breakfast as it was not mentioned during check in. It does not compare to other 4 star properties we’ve stayed in throughout a Italy.
