The location was excellent, tucked away in a charming alley and pleasantly removed from the busy streets of central Rome, while still being within easy walking distance. The train station is also very close by. The room was very clean and well maintained. Unfortunately, we had to shorten our stay due to a family emergency.
The room did not have an ensuite bathroom, so we had to cross the corridor each time we needed to use the bathroom or shower. This felt a bit uncomfortable, especially with other guests passing by. I had not realised this at the time of booking, so it’s worth double-checking room details. If you don’t mind an external bathroom, this guest house is still a good option.

It was nice being able to have a snack any time. I loved the location.
It would have been better if they figured out I had an extended reservation instead of moving my stuff out until I sent proof. After that, they apologized and gave me a new room. Not sure who dropped the ball, booking.com or the hotel.

Great location, good communication with host. Very easy check-in process. It was a hot weekend, luckily the room had airco but very loud. Lived up to it’s name “Maison”, felt homely from the first moment, but not what we were looking for in a vacation.
We booked this place based on the rave reviews but were surprised. The bathroom ceiling had mould, toilet paper wasn’t replaced and the room was very poorly ventilated in general. Could hear everything going on - from other rooms, the kitchen, the front door, the street etc - when you wanted to sleep this was terrible. The included breakfast was mostly individually plastic wrapped pastries and juice from concentrate, and we only received coffee pods for the first day. If I was 15 years younger and discovering Rome for the first time with friends, this place would be fabulous.
