I love the value for money of this hotel. I have stayed here many times. And the gentleman even upgraded my room for me free of charged becasue it was after 5:30pm. He was amazing.

Disappointing

Sea view

Cold . Stayed in November only light bedsheet on bed . So cold slept in day clothes. Shared bathroom on my floor was locked . Checked next floor down not clean enough to consider bathing . Cup provided for tea was filthy . General state was very tired and rundown . Would have spoken to address issues next day after checking out but no one there .

It in a great location and amazing views across sea front

When we arrived we were given a room without a bath or shower which it said on booking . Com it was included I thought private bathroom was in the room not at the end of a corridor which shared with other guests , the room was dated and the wall light did not work and the plugs were no where near the shelves so had to boil the kettle on the floor, the toilet in our room you could not shut door properly and when you did shut the door your knees were up against the door the bed also need a new mattress as very lumpy , covers barely fitted over the two of us and again cheap . The bathroom with shower , could not turn the hot water down because was really old and the bathroom with bath and shower , was filthy with bugs running around looked like it hadn’t been cleaned for a while and dated really tiny and shower was leaking in all directions so a very bad stay but lucky we only stayed the 3 nights

Good place for a short stay

The location of the hotel was great- right on the sea front. Easy to find as well, and within a walking disctance of the town centre. The person who greeted us at the hotel had a great sense of humour. The hotel has a vintage charm and it’s a little worn around the edges, but it is just the kind of place I enjoy staying in. The important thing for me is to find the place clean, with plenty of clean towels provided, and that's excatly what I found there. The price I paid for was very resonable, and I was positively surprised with the size of the room.

If I had to find something to moan about, it would be other residents of the hotel, who stayed in the room above us. They decided to argue laudly in the middle of the night, but the situation calmed down quickly.

Very run down rooms, noisy and felt bit scared as a single woman on her own. No checking out process in place, ended up having to leave my keys on the check in counter, which was worrying.

Basic but cheap.

Ibrahim was a wonderfully helpful staff member who was very keen to help me with my luggage because the lift was broken. The room was basic but serviceable, it had what I needed, and it was cheap. That had been my main criteria for choosing to stay there because I was only staying one night to break my long journey.

Parking was the only real issue. Lift being broken. I'm on crutches but I made it to the second floor unscathed.

Badly stained mattress and under sheets. Very tired dated decor. Lift not working. Toilet door in one room wouldn't close. Cobwebs on light shades. Shower in one room was in the bedroom ?! no privacy. That's for starters. Very unwelcoming feel.

Harsh lighting only highlighted the dirty room. Shower filter was filthy as was the sink taps, toilet flush button surrounded in old lime scale and the toilet brush had old faeces stuck to it.

Tried getting £150 cash out of people on arrival as a "security bond". No staff to be found in the morning when trying to check out, had to call a London number to find out what to do with the room key.

We had a sea view with balcony and a double bed each. Upgraded free of charge. Tea, coffee etc in room. Clean beds and plenty of towels.

Location was good, beds were comfortable. This hotel has the potential to be great but needs money spent on it.

We had 2 rooms, both needed some tlc but it was only an overnight stay. Free wifi is very hit and miss, tv in both rooms but couldnt use either as no antenna on either.

Everything the room wasn't very clean marks on walls no bulbs in lights above headboard dirty marks on the inside of curtains and no blind on bathroom door could see into bathroom when in use human nasal deposit (snot and bogies) on the wall above the radiator only one hinge holding the window dirty body marks on the walls and skirting boards very disgusting and disappointed in everything and very expensive for the room definitely not worth the price or even a look at if I had known this before turning up I would of cancelled the booking I would like a call back from booking. Com for the price very poor and disgusting I'm definitely not going recommend to anyone I would tell them to keep away and avoid this place

If you lucky enough to find parking then as soon as you enter the premises you are greeted with mould and stealth smell. I have asked the receptionist for refund and since then I have not received further communication. It’s a shame that such a beautiful town it’s ruined with basement like hotels …
