Genuine neo-classical villa in beautiful grounds

A really amazing genuine villa, remarkable and beautiful architecture and grounds. Mostly original neo-classical decoration in almost every room makes for a unique experience. Breakfast is incredible, served in a beautiful large dining room with extensive cakes and generous portions. The staff/owners are attentive and accommodating of requests such as taxi booking.

Moderate distance to town centre may be a problem for some but there is a bus stop nearby.

Memorable experience.

Stunning villa. Our room was huge. No shower only bath but that was part of the experience. Breakfast was plentiful. Delicious home made cakes, fruit and omelette. Easy walk into Bologna appropriately 20 minutes. Great to come back to the serenity of Villa Benni and it’s grounds after a busy day sightseeing. Lovely staff running the Villa and very accomodating with any requests.

Definitely come back.

All the people in villa very fiendly, we felt like a part of their family. Room very nice equipped with antiques. No TV, it would disrupt the atmosphere. Will definitely come back.

wonderful place, minutes from town, but needs that third bed replacing!

fabulously opulent, warm welcome, lovely hospitality and the most wonderful breakfast

the third bed (we were a group of three) was extremely uncomfortable, all three of us tried it and it was terrible. The room is mostly used for two people I imagine, or those with a child where it doesn’t matter so much, but the mattress was so very tired it was awful. Given the beautiful details everywhere else it seemed an oddly easy thing to put right at minimal cost but still, there it was. Road out front was pretty noisy in the small hours and rush hours. Back bedroom would not have had this problem.

Exceptional

staying at Villa Benni was like stepping back in time! The villa is beautiful, the room spacious and very clean. Like other reviews say, there is no shower but it is quite nice to bathe like they would have done in the past! We loved the beautiful breakfast in the morning- delcious fruits, yoghurt, cakes, frittata- all extremely generous. The location is great if you have a car, we walked into town which is only about 20mins walk away.

Gorgoeus Experience

The villa is brilliant — feels like staying in a museum on on a movie set for a night. Large beautifully decorated room, private access to the garden, very comfortable bed. The hosts were lovely and very welcoming. Ms. Mazzini made us a wonderful breakfast and indulged our late checkout. We cannot wait to return

You should beware of two things, which aren’t exactly criticisms, just notes. First, which is pretty obvious from the pictures, there is no shower — only a large bath. While we enjoyed it massively, that is something to consider especially if you prefer a quick rinse. Second, be aware that you will not have the key to the front gate. That means you will have to call/message the hosts to let you in and out.

A majestic and delightful B & B!

The grandeur of this place is astounding! It is quiet, and filled with beauty. it’s about a twenty minute walk to the heart of town but many cafes nearby. Concetta was a wonderful host and a phenomenal baker as well.

Indelible memory of a very special place, much better than a regular hotel.

We loved the unique Villa, its history, its good karma, its preservation. The fact that it was situated in a small park was comforting. The owners, especially Concetta was a warm and friendly hostess. We appreciated their efforts to make us feel comfortable and their love for the special building.

Herrliche und einmalige Unterkunft

Eine herrliche alte Villa mit großem Park in Top Lage von Bologna. Zimmer sind authentisch und ursprünglich geblieben. Das einzige was man bedenken muss - es gab damals zwar Bäder aber keine Duschen. Man kann sich aber sehr gut arrangieren. Frühstück ist unglaublich liebevoll und lecker. Parkplatz direkt vor der Tür. Hunde sind sehr willkommen. In Summe sehr gelungener Aufenthalt für eine Tour durch Bologna
