The owners were there to help you if you needed it it was clean. It was tidy. The owners couldn’t do enough for you. It was absolutely lovely.

Great little guest house

Room was really clean and nice, perfect for what I needed. Facilities were great and I had everything I needed for a couple of nights. Owners were fantastic hosts, kind and professional, and the breakfast was brilliant.

Lovely guest house, great value for money and lovely friendly hosts

Tina and Arthur made me feel really welcome in their lovely home and are so friendly and helpful.The bedroom and bathroom were both spotless and the bed was really comfy. Nothing was too much trouble. Tina even offered to make me a sandwich for my trip home. They have a great knowledge of the area which was great, as it was my first visit to Torquay.

Relaxing

The guest house was in easy walking distance to the train station and very quiet. We were greeted by Tina who was very cheerful and friendly and very accommodating. Our room was lovely and comfortable with its own little seating and tv area. It also had a fridge with a proper bottle of milk for the tea/coffee in the room which was a nice touch.The breakfast was freshly cooked with lots of choice and filled us up for the day. There was a small seating area with snacks/coffee machine for extras during the day. We were made to feel very welcome.

Comfortable stay in a quiet part of Torquay

Warm welcome on arrival. Comfortable, spacious and quiet single room with plenty of storage, a small fridge, hairdryer, Freeview TV and tea & coffee making facilities (hot chocolate available from a machine downstairs for £1). Shower with plentiful hot water although not the strongest water pressure. Supplied toiletries included shower gel, shampoo, cotton buds and a shower cap. All kept very clean with the room being refreshed daily. An iron and board were available for use in an adjacent room. Unfortunately I was not offered a cooked breakfast since I needed to leave relatively early for work. This is only available between 08:30-09:30 so instead I had my daily breakfast tray in the room, encompassing various fruits, cereal, packaged pastries, some yoghurt and orange juice. The owners were accommodating of this without any bother and the tray was always there waiting for me when I returned in the evening. There was also a snacks area in the downstairs lobby, with an honesty bar for soft drinks and confectionery.

It was a pleasant and comfortable stay with little to dislike, but it certainly would've been nice to have had the full breakfast. I didn't see the owners again at any point after check-in but had been advised that this would likely be the case and it didn't bother me since I was travelling for work therefore not in need of any particular input from them (about places to eat/visit etc).

Weekend break at Glenwood Lodge

The room was spotless. The hosts had thought of everything possible to make your stay comfortable. I liked the idea of a mini fridge and also a sitting area in the room. The breakfast was stunning and the hosts couldn't have been more accomodating..

I liked the fact there was a choice at breakfast and plenty of it.Comfortable clean room with fridge with fresh milk inside which is very thoughtful when having travelled over 400 miles and the first thing you want is a nice cup of tea, Room is cleaned daily and restocked with teabags,coffee etc.Very nice and helpfull hosts.The centre of town was only about 10-15 minutes away.

Short and sweet added to comfort and cleanliness

The bedroom size,view bed comfort and cleanliness.We were provided with lots of towels a small fridge with fresh milk and water. The breakfast has a good selection of cereal,fruit,yoghurt and a cooked meal. They were understanding of our needs and the service was good.

I would have liked more space for parking ok if leaving your car for the stay but awkward if you need to come and go.

Wonderful stay

Lovely, family run guest house. Perfect location around 10min walk to the lovely beach and town centre. Room was super clean and everything I needed was there. Breakfast was exceptional. Ladies always provided excellent service and they were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend it to everyone and come back again.

Great location . 5 min from the beach and the station. 15 min from the harbour. The room was a good size and had alovely cosy feel.
