Wonderful little place which is within walking distance of everything. Staff are absolutely amazing and can not help you enough. Also we could not park on the drive way as it’s very steep HOWEVER - there is Plenty of parking on the road outside - plenty!! We didn’t use our car once while we were there as everything is within walking distance. Would definitely recommend and would say you take a larger room as the one with the bunk was too small for our family of 4.

Our room has an incredibly small bathroom - but it was the only one available - so can not complain.

Myself and my partner recently stayed at the Westbank Having stayed in the more mainstream hotels in Torquay before we decided on a change and after looking for a half an hour or so and reading countless reviews we decided on The Westbank after booking we received a couple messages from our hosts which was nice n made us feel welcome even before arriving upon arrival we were greeted by Berta who was very welcoming and friendly she showed us around and left us to go to our room which was very clean very tidy and equipped very well, we made out our requirements for breakfast and was overwhelmed by the service n quality the following morning throughout our stay 3nights our hosts could not of been more helpful and polite nothing was to much trouble a lesson that could be learned from the for-mentioned mainstreamers if your going to stay in Torquay I can not recommend this lovely place and its hosts more highly an 12 out of 10 fantastic value and service thank you Berta and Ed we will definitely be back John n Andrea x

Fantastic service and very friendly

Fantastic family run bed and breakfast. Breakfast was outstanding. The whole place was spotlessly clean and tidy. Rooms cleaned everyday. Nothing was too much trouble for the owners at all. Highly recommend that you pay a visit you won't be disappointed 😊😊

Quiet location, easy parking at property and street no charge! Short walk to beach and town. Hosts very nice and helpful, great room for four of us. Breakfast very good with mot than enough choice. No hesitation on rebooking.

Nice place to stay, some niggles but not show-stopper.

Hospitality was good, room shower and toilet are nice, kid's bed was good, adult's bed could be better, breakfast was ok, location was perfect. About five spaces for onsite parking but off-street parking is available immediately outside and on side-road but nothing is guaranteed.

Adult bed in our room (front) was a bit low and mattress slightly too soft. Our room was above the smoking area on the ground floor so we could not leave the window open because of the smoke from cigarette smokers. Covid precautions regarding room change and breakfast area ought to be reviewed as it seems over-board in our opinion.

Great stay in a highly recommended hotel.

The rooms were beautiful. Staff were friendly and there was an easy system of requesting additional items for the room like biscuits and tea. Milk was fresh daily for the rooms obtainable from a communal area fridge. The bed in our room was huge and extremely comfortable.

The breakfast was delicious and plentiful, however ordering the night before meant that if you woke up and fancied something different it was too late. That said it was all hot and freshly cooked and good quality so it was a minor inconvenience rather than a complaint or dislike.

Our holiday at the Westbank

It was comfortable, clean, modern and spacious. Berta, Ed and their family could not have been anymore accommodating. They are so friendly and welcoming and we did really feel at home whilst we were almost 300 miles away. The apartment we stayed in was ideal and had literally everything you could wish for. The location of the Westbank is ideal for everything you want to do in Torquay yet it is also tucked away in a nice quiet spot. Our holiday in Torquay was fantastic and staying at the Westbank was a massive part of this. We can’t wait to return next year and would recommend Berta and Ed’s place to anyone…!!

Location. We had the ground floor flat which was private, clean and had everything we needed.

This place is perfect with perfect hosts and location. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are looking forward to booking again. The hosts are very knowledgeable and helpful. Thank you.

Great home from home.

Family run guest house that was spotlessly clean and maintained to a very high standard. Breakfast was so fantastic that it set you up for the day. Location was great being a 5 minute walk from the seafront and about 15 minutes to the town centre.
