Superb

Our stay was upgraded which was ideal and a surprise on arrival.The owners were very friendly ,superb location,room,very clean. Food was superb ,best breakfast ever. Owners had time to have a friendly chat .We were able to sample some home made mince pies and also the the best ever chocolate brownies which were available in the guest room. We would highly recommend The Burberry to any one.

Excellent breakfast, lovely room, vegan friendly and warm!

Beautiful room, lovely hosts and loads of extra lovely touches - a GREAT vegan breakfast (you don't normally get offered scrambled tofu if you want!) and some oat milk to have in the room for teas and coffees - really kind! The honesty bar was a lovely touch too - great stuff all round!

The building looks a little dated in places, but I appreciate the job of maintaining an older building!

I had a fabulous time staying at The Berburry! Wendy and Steve were so welcoming and nothing was too much bother. Excellent facilities and perfect location for my visit. Lovely breakfast, and all the extra touches throughout the hotel just added to my experience. Thank you to the whole team at The Berburry, and I will definitely return!

Wonderful stay, happy to return and recommend to other coeliacs!

Lovely pretty and comfortable room with quality bedding,towels and toiletries. Very clean with nothing left untouched.Nothing too much trouble for Wendy and Steve. Beautiful freshly cooked breakfast - coeliac friendly which was a real bonus and very welcome. A very comfortable stay in lovely surroundings and would definitely return.

Perfect stay for our anniversary.

Delicious breakfasts fantastic selection perfectly cooked and a lovely dinning room. Location is excellent so easy to get around we shall definitely going back Wendy and Steve are great so friendly and helpful wish we could have stayed longer perhaps next time we certainly recommend the berburry.

Excellent hotel

The owners Wendy and Steve are the icing on the cake for The Berberry. The hotel is spotless. Breakfasts are the best we have had at any hotel, and even the fruit salad was ftesh and varied. The honesty bar in the lounge is a great idea

Absolutely amazing hosts & a amazing place to stay

It was a lovely spacious room, room was spotless. Location was walking distance to everything. Hosts Wendy & Steve are fantastic hosts & the staff are very friendly !!. Breakfast was AMAZING !. Wendy is a perfect example of a cake baker which she freely offers you her examples of the day she has baked 😋 over all this is the best B&B I can honestly say I’ve stayed at & me & Fiona will be returning 😁

Great few days stay in a lovely B & B

Perfect location not far from train station and a short walk down to the harbour Great hosts Wendy and Steve ,super friendly ! They run this fabulous B & B with exceptional rooms and a great choice in breakfasts offered every morning … highly recommend to anyone thinking of booking , you won’t be disappointed!

Comfortable, Clean, left you with the feeling you’d been treated.

We have just returned home from a 2 night stay at The Berburry, one of the best stays we’ve had, Wendy and Steve are a lovely couple who ooze niceness, very friendly and accommodating. Personal touches in the rooms just make your stay more comfortable, breakfast was delicious, cooked to order fresh and hot! and those brownies, wow. Thankyou for a lovely stay.

It’s such a beautiful property and the couple that own it are so incredible. Wendy and Steve were very accommodating and welcoming. The food is incredible- Wendy is sooo good. She also bakes everyday and there’s always sweet treats in the common dining area. The rooms are very clean and beautifully decorated. For the quality, the prices are extremely reasonable. Will definitely be back and recommend toe friends and family visiting as well ❤️

Great stay in a lovely and traditional guest house.

Traditional guest house with hosts who go out of their way to make it a great experience for guests. The decor was fresh and suited the period house very well. Guests were trusted with an honour bar, and there were other little homely, welcoming touches. Plenty private car parking and a beautiful garden to sit in for afternoon tea & scones, which I wish we'd tried.

Bed a little soft for me although not uncomfortable, and I'd have made use of a dimmer for the lights!

The Place to Stay in Torquay

What a wonderful place. Ideally located for an amble in Torquay and superbly run. Wendy and Steve really are fantastic hosts. We were made to feel completely welcome. They are a mine of local information and it's really obvious how important their guests are to them. We had the apartment which was a great size, excellently equipped and absolutely spotless. And as for the breakfast? One of the best I've ever had. Premium bacon, sausages, eggs, and the rest. Thank you for a lovely stay.

We were met by our friendly host Steve who showed us around. There is an honesty bar and a fridge in the dining room with complimentary water, milk and millionaires shortbread. Our room was light and airy and well appointed and exceptionally clean. The next morning we had a superb cooked breakfast cooked by Wendy and there was fresh fruit, cereals and juices on offer as well. The hotel is well placed for a short walk to the seafront and the Princess Theatre and has on site parking.

Beautiful Berburry

The hotel itself beautiful and only a short walk to the sea. Each room is unique and designed with every little detail. There are tea & making facilities with biscuits replenished each day. Everything is spotless with luxury toiletries in the bathroom. The breakfast is outstanding everything cooked crashed to order, lots of choice including smoked salmon, pancakes & avocado with homemade fruit compote yogurts. The hosts Steve and Wendy are extremely helpful & friendly and made us feel at home. Wendy bakes every day where guests can help themselves in the dining room along with fresh milk & water for the room. They were divine including millionaires shortbread and cherry Bakewell. Thank you so much for making us feel at home & relaxed! Will definitely stay again in the future.

Lovely night in a beautiful hotel

Everything, always planned to go torquay but didn't book until the night before. They swiftly messaged me and said the room would be ready so we could check in earlier, which was perfect, so we didn't have to carry a bag around all day. The hosts were so friendly and welcoming on arrival and throughout the stay, even leaving a birthday card for my partner in the room. There is an honesty bar with very good prices and a fridge with complimentary water, milk, and a homemade cake for your room, which was delicious, by the way. The hotel is so clean and smells beautiful throughout. The tiny touches show they go all out and love their business. Comfy beds, covers, and towels that are lovely and thick. The breakfast was honestly so good, and even if they charged extra, it would still be worth it. It's a nice easy stroll down to the sea front with beautiful scenery. I'm glad we found this hotel and will definitely stay again.

This hotel is the best we have stayed in

We stayed at The Berburry for three nights in the Junior Suite. The hotel was very clean and very welcoming. Outside was very clean, the gardens filled with flowers and areas to sit out in the day/evening. The breakfast was exceptionally good, freshly cooked and using local produce, plenty of choice so you won’t be disappointed. The rooms were clean and spacious and the bed was comfortable with clean linen and soft towels, overall for us this is definitely a place we will return to but more importantly the owners were very friendly and made you feel welcome, on hand for a chat or advice on where to visit during our stay
