Everything. From the moment I stepped into thr building I felt a sense of home. Cosy and warm. You meet as strangers and leave as friends. Our room was perfect. The beds are so comfortable, to the point, after breakfast me and my partner went for a hour snooze and ended up over sleeping into the afternoon! Well needed rest! Pat and John cannot do any more for you. Nothing was too much trouble. The decor of the rooms makes you feel like you are in a home, lots of plaques and signs with well wishes and homely feels. From now on, any time I need to stay in Torquay I will be staying here! The breakfast was so good! Brilliant choices. The home itself is spotless. But overall the hosts, well simply put, you won't find better hosts! Cannot wait to return!

Excellent, very experienced hosts in the catering and hospitality industry.

Very welcoming hosts. Nothing was too much trouble for them. We were greeted warmly, shown to our room which was all ready for us. Pat showed us how to get onto wi-fi and everything in the room was spotless. There was a fully equipped tea/coffee making area, a little fridge with fresh milk and drinking water. Two fresh muffins were also in tin with napkins if we needed them. The breakfast was to a high standard with plenty of options to suit all tastes. The hotel is within easy walking of the seafront and local bus services if you don’t have a car. Excellent experience. Will definitely be staying there again on our next visit. Thank you Pat and John. 😃

Another excellent holiday stay

Another excellent stay at The Crowndale. Always enjoy staying here and being met with a warm welcome. Beds really comfortable and the whole property is spotless. Fantastic cooked breakfast every morning sets you up for the day ahead. Easy car parking too which is a bonus for Torquay.

Pat and John were excellent hosts, nothing was too much trouble with some thoughtful extras included! The hotel was very cosy and the room was lovely and warm. Definitely would stay at the crowndale again. Quiet location with plenty of unrestricted parking

The accommodation was very comfortable, well maintained, exceptionally clean and well heated which was great as the weather was cold. The owners Pat and John are great, they made us feel most welcomed and cooked a lovely breakfast every day.

Liked everything me and my partner stayed here for a week room was clean nicely decorated bed was comfy always had fresh milk in fridge plenty of tea coffees etc lovely treat for us in our room when we arrived breakfast was amazing plenty off fabulous hosts I highly recommend this b&b thank u pat john and sarah c u all when we stay next mandy and steve

Great stay with friendly hosts

Pat and John are excellent hosts, offering you everything you could possibly need. Breakfast was great and there was a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Parking was easy and it was a short walk to the sea, shops and restaurants. John gave us lots of information about the buses and we easily managed to get a bus to Brixham. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you Pat and John

We had a lovely stay at Crowndale ,Pat was a lovely host, she made us very welcome. Room was comfortable lovely & clean nice comfy bed. Litttle treats in room fresh milk & water in the fridge. We will definitely stay again ,as Adults only .

Lovely comfortable BnB

Very welcoming friendly and helpful hosts. Left us 2 muffins on arrival which was very thoughtful. There is also fresh milk daily which makes all the difference to a making a nice cuppa. Whole place was immaculate. Good breakfast and location

A lovely establishment a clean huge room with an enormous bed with complimentary milk and cold water. The wet room was spacious and very clean with soft fluffy towels. The hosts Pat and John were friendly and helpful and always checking in to make your stay comfortable. Crowndale is an easy walk to the sea front and Torre Abbey which is a bonus.

Really amazing and friendly hosts. Nothing was too much trouble. Everything from the room to the breakfast was 10/10. We wanted a vegetarian breakfast and the host was really happy to accommodate. Clean rooms equipped with fridge, tea/coffee making facilities, fresh milk is provided and other little touches to make your stay comfortable. The location was really good with just a 10-15 mins walk to Torquay beach. Thank you John and Pat for the hospitality and your recommendations on what to see and do.

Perfect in every way.

The friendliest accommodation I have ever stayed at, on our arrival Pat greeted us so warmly, asking our names and giving us directions to the town. They are such a genuine couple who obviously really enjoy welcoming and looking after their guests. Our room was cosy and clean with lots of storage for clothes etc. Breakfast was served in a very clean friendly dining room, with the table set beautifully. The food was 1st class, cooked by Dave. They both popped out for a little chat after everyone had eaten. I have never felt so comfortable and at home. Lots of special finishing touches, a little treat of delicious muffins.

Fabulous proprietors, truly lovely people offering a brilliant service on a gorgeous b&b. Really clean and comfy, relaxing and no fuss; fabulous breakfast and great local knowledge. No need to drive, accessible on the train; half way between Tore and Torquay. They have car parking.

Was a beautiful building however a bit hairy walking to it on foot, either from Tore station ( down hill) and local chip shop and shops. Better if walking from Torquay station however it is up hill to b&b. Walk down hill from b&b best bet!
