Excellent stay, fantastic position, two minutes to the centre and five minutes walk to the train station.

Comfortable and affordable with a lively host.

Close to the station, easily accessible to everything, our host Andrea was very friendly and helpful.

The bedding/duvet was a little weird, no duvet cover, but maybe that is normal in Italy, not sure.

Great base for the beautiful Cinque Terre

Great location - 5 minute walk to train station and as we were only in La Spezia to go to Cinque Terre, it worked out great.

Fantastic stay

Beds and pillows were very comfy. The gentleman that checked us in was lovely and gave us lots of information. Property on 3rd floor and there is a lift. Nice and quiet. Tea and coffee in the rooms. Can leave bags before and after checkout.

Andrea was really nice and helpful who waited for us and showed us the accommodation.

Despite it is not really a hotel (more like apartments) the rooms are nicely designed. The bathroom and shower are comfortable

Excellent value for the money !!

Extremely clean and well maintained property, Host Andrea was very good in explaining everything. Property had very good bathroom amenities, and what was beyond expectation was the availability of safe locker, proper hangers, coffee maker, hot water jug, and juice, cookie, coffee and tea pouches. Cleaning done every day. Overall excellent value for the price. Location was excellent - just 4 minutes walk from La Spezia Centrale station. Free WiFi that actually has great signal.

close to everything - train, pedestrian area for restaurants - great spot and so comfortable and clean

the position of this property was great, so close to the train line - our room and bathroom was modern and clean, very comfortable. Andrea was simply amazing giving us his recommendations and I am so pleased he did as our favourite place was Porto Venere which I would of missed if not been for Andrea - Thankyou

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The place was really clean and comfortable to stay in. There was some light snacks given as well which was a nice touch. Thank you for the lovely stay. It was perfect!

Amazing location for exploring the Cinque Terre (very close to the train station), clean rooms, natural light, welcoming host, complimentary snacks.

There was no mini fridge in the room :( Also, the door between the room where you sleep and the private bathroom are slide doors which doesn't give you 100 percent privacy when in bathroom. That didn't bother us as we are a couple :)

The room was spacious and clean. The location is perfect, only 5 minutes walking to the train station. The host, Andrea, was very friendly and gave us all the needed information to visit Cinque Terre. I totally recommend this accommodation!

Spacious and conveniently located

We stayed at the Altamarea for a couple of days as a base station to visit Cinque Terre, using the local train service between Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore. Altamarea is close to the train station and at a walking distance from La Spezia center and the boats to Porto Venere. The room was large with a good bathroom. It was a good choice. Our host gave us a few tips about visiting Cinque Terre and Porto Venere that proved to be spot-on. Grazie!

Superb

Everything was quite good. We were staying at Altamarea in LaSpezia and using it as a base to visit Cinque Terre. The owner Andrea was very helpful and very informative about Cinque Terre since that was the purpose of visit. We even requested him to help us book an antigen test and he was quite accommodating. The rooms were super cute. I believe there were 5 rooms, each named after the different Cinque Terre village. The room was quite spacious and location wise was good as well. It was on the same street as the main square and about 300m from the train station so it’s not too difficult to get to if you’re coming in with luggage.

The best location to visit Portovenere and Cinque Terre.

The facility is located just a few minutes walk from La Spezia train station. It is ideal to reach the Cinque Terre since the first town is only 7 minutes by train. You can buy a daily train pass for $16 per person. It includes unlimited hopping on and off the trains to/from all the Cinque Terre and La Spezia. In addition, it includes the access to all the Cinque Terre trails, just show the QR code to the guard. Buy the tickets online to avoid a long line at the station. Ombretta at Altamarea was super helpful on recommending transportation, excursions to Cinque Terre and Portovenere, and dining options. You can find all the fliers you need on the desk in the hallway at Altamarea. The rooms are stocked with coffee maker, croissants, jams and other small treats. A bottle of water is included for every night of your staying. We had a blast at Altamarea and we felt very comfortable in a super clean and functional environment.

Perfect spot for couples to explore La Spezia and Cinque Terre

Andrea, our host, was perfect. He received us warmly and gave us perfect suggestions on how to spend our days. The place is very tidy and spacious for a couple and very close to both the station and the port. There are 5 rooms named after the 5 terre. Shower cabin was pretty spacious and nice. We also had extra blanket and pillows, a coffee machine and some small breakfast. The rooms are pretty quite but you might hear the other guests every now and then.

Wifi is slow so don't expect to get anything done on it. For parking it's best to just leave your cat at Piazza d'Armi right after you unload your luggage.

Un soggiorno semplicemente perfetto! La posizione è davvero ideale, comodissima per muoversi e godersi La Spezia e le Cinque Terre al meglio. La struttura era impeccabile: pulizia eccellente, ambienti curati e grande attenzione ai dettagli. Ma il vero valore aggiunto sono state le persone: accoglienti, disponibili e sempre gentili, ci hanno fatto sentire come a casa fin dal primo momento e ci hanno consigliato posti in cui poter mangiare ed eventi a cui non mancare che ci hanno fatto vivere la città al meglio!! Un’esperienza che consigliamo senza alcun dubbio e che ripeteremmo volentieri!
