The hotel is hugely overpriced for what it offers

Only the pool / location

The breakfast is awful — it’s just one small dish and we’re still hungry afterward. The room is not beautiful at all and lacks refinement. The price is exorbitant; for the quality of the services, it should be at least three times cheaper. There’s a terrible noise in the pool area. Nothing works in this hotel — everything needs to be reviewed. It absolutely doesn’t deserve its 9.1 rating

Everything at the Hotel was lovely - the room leading out to the swimming pool, the areas around the hotel where you sit, great breakfast and very friendly and helpful staff.

Comfortable room with lots of space. Friendly and attentive service. Club Lounge was comfortable and quiet.

Breakfast was good but has limited options. Club lounge drinks available for one hour - most other hotels make them available for 2 hours.

Fijn verblijf

We hadden 2 nachten geboekt in de premier suite. De kamer was bij aankomst wat vochtig, maar dit werd goed opgepakt en we werden meteen ovetgeplaatst naar een grotere kamer. Het hotel zelf was karakteristiek en comfortabel en geweldig gelegen.

Jammer van de eerste kamer, maar zoals gezegd was dit snel opgelost.

The location was great, great breakfast and we loved the swimming pool. It was a relaxing quiet spot in the bustle of Seminyak

Beautiful boutique hotel close to the beach. The staff is very friendly.

The biggest drawback is the night club which is located a few houses away. It‘s very noisy (loud music) until 2 am. Luckily we could change rooms. However we still needed earplugs to sleep.

The rooms were super spacious, open and had a nice antique feel. the bathroom was huge, big tub, hairdryer and great water pressure from the shower (hot water was nice)

Bit of musky smell at first but I assumed that was just because of being closed for so long after covid (definitely was not a turn off)

Stylish and Child Free!

The Colony Hotel is like an oasis in the bustle of Seminyak. It's run so well by Sami who is always happy to help with restaurant recommendations and activity ideas. The breakfast served in the restaurant is fresh and tasty. The pool area is very pleasant and provides an opportunity to meet the other guests. We have stayed here twice now and we will be back.

a decent choice for a central hotel but beware the downsides of location

- very centrally located; short walk to Seminyak shops - very friendly and helpful staff (really great) - a good, large bed - aircon works well - clean rooms

- central means loud - thumping base from nightclubs and you’ll need earplugs - the pool is small, and very close to all of the rooms; not somewhere you can chill out and read a book (too cramped / loud) - super loud Australian guests (not the hotel’s fault, per se, but the staff were too polite to intervene when they were yelling to each other at midnight) - some parts of the bathrooms are showing wear and need a refresh - showers are mostly hot but I had a couple of warm ones (at busy times of day)

The location of the hotel was excellent. Just the windows have to bee soundproof, at night the disco from next street is very loud. The room smelled strongly with mold.
