Absolutely fantastic accommodation, beautiful rooms which were much larger than other rooms at hotels. Beautiful grounds. Staff so helpful and polite. Pool area nice, clean, large, perfect temperature. We didnt have breakfast there so no comment regarding breakfast. Fantastic location, despite being on Jl. Kayu Aya, it was pleasantly quiet and peaceful. Super big bed, very comfortable. Great COLD air con. 100% would recommend and will be coming back here again

The bed, the pillows and the sheets were great. The location is amazing. Staff nice and friendly. Our room Was cleaned and tidy every day. New water bottles refilled every day also.

Very very old and outdated. No lights at the stairs and infront of the door. The hotel needs a handy man to fix all the things which are not working. The door opens very hard, the walls are not being renovated, no soap in the bathroom to wash your hands. Water in the shower very very slow , takes ages to wash your hair. After I saw the condition of the hotel didn’t risk having my free breakfast. Scared of Bali belly. Very dark in the dressing area , there’s a make up table but you must do your make up in the dark. Staff opened the window in the bathroom and straight away we had mosquitoes. Not enough sunbeds by the pool…

Traditional Balinese design and gardens. Pool was amazing with plenty of options for relaxation. Rooms were very spacious with plenty of living areas and privacy.

Location was good. Bed was pretty good. But that was it. We booked breakfast. We had it one day.then went elsewhere every other day. It was just a joke. Everything you look at. Needs repairing or replacing.

Wonderful and relaxing.

The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful my entire stay. The beautiful and charming Nita was a delight as well. The housekeeping staff was always courteous and respectful and attended my every request with bright and friendly smiles. While the entrance to the property is noisy and bustling, just a few meters into the property my room was quite peaceful. The room itself was quite spacious, and I did appreciate the bathtub. Aircon was ice cold and and once the room cooled, I could turn it off for hours and stay comfortable. The pool was nice and clean as well. The staff keep the grounds very tidy and neat. I was so happy with my stay that I extended my original 10 day stay another 7 days. There are so many excellent eateries within a 10 minute walk, let alone just crossing the street. I will definitely be returning.

The internet connection was problematic at times, and this was a negative for me as I work remotely. Luckily I had very good cell reception and could use that as an alternative when the internet was not working. I only took advantage of the breakfast service twice. The coffee was not to my taste. However, again, there are a multitude of varied breakfast venues within a small radius of the property.

Location Super. Smack bang in the middle of it ALL. Value for money is amazing. Considering Location. Staff is super helpful and friendly. Been there 3 times now. I keep on coming back. Breakfast is very simple, but ok. I always rent their Scooter which is on site. Pool is big and deep and clean !!! + extra kiddie pool small.

Too many issues to warrant a visit again

Would not stay again as too many issues.

No bath plug was supplied. I had to ask for a plug to be able to use the bath, which was a very big effort as I had Bali Belly at the time. After a day of travel, I just wanted to recover in a long soak in a bath tub. The bath tap did not work, there was a showerhead attached to it so filling was very slow (see photo attached). Through Booking.com, I asked for a late check out of 2:30 pm and received a reply of "yes" (see attached screenshot). However, on the morning of checkout when I went to Reception to confirm they said, "No," you can stay until 1 pm but if you want to stay until 2:30 pm you have to pay 50% of the fee. This was disappointing because I had made departure plans based on their original approval of my request and then they went back on the word. In room 352, the curtains on the two large windows did not close all the way to the middle. They fell for short by quite a lot. Fortunately, I had a couple of hair clips to hold them together for both privacy and blocking daylight while sleeping. One of the bed covers had tears in it. This was reported to Reception and fixed by housekeeping.

Room to improve

The room is beautiful - a palace! Everything just works😊 (except the safe). They let me check in an hour early👍

The breakfast is a complete joke - 1 (ONE) slender strip of bacon on the American ; and No fried egg on the balinese goreng? Juice OR fruit not both. A guy with a petrol powered and very loud whipper-snipper while we were all relaxing at the pool. The room is VERY dark ; you can't even read a book😳 put some light in there please. The toilet was struggling to flush during the heavy rain ; maybe some full up sewer system. The non-negotiable 1/2 room rate fee for late checkout even when they're only 25% occupied is a rip off.

Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Food was lovely. Beds were very comfortable and rooms were lovely. Grounds were very pretty. Restaurants were lovely.

Pool was not nice - mould growing on the edges. Not really many shops in the area.

Location was fantastic for restaurants and the beach and the surrounding area. Great value for money with the size of the room and its facilities.

Mozzies still ate me alive even with the bed nets. The wild kittens loudly crying around the place were both disturbing and made me feel sad. The breakfast at the restaurant was pretty average. Awful coffee.

Gorgeous people, great location (especially if you like shopping), lovely traditional style and fabulous pool.

Traditional style bungalows in beautiful gardens, which made you feel like you are not in a city. It was a little bit shabby in some ways but not in any way that would make one feel uncomfortable, or distract from an enjoyable stay. Just a couple of cracked tiles in the pool, or slightly leaky tap. However, the pool is fantastic, huge and saltwater chlorinated so less harsh than normal chlorine. I spent much time in there. The staff were incredible and would go above and beyond. Kindness personified. It was also lovely and quiet. A bit of an oasis really. Admittedly there were no luxuries like room service or big fluffy towels, but if that’s what you’re after, why go to Bali?

the toast with breakfast was not the best, nor was there enough bacon, however the fried rice and noodles were lovely. I was a little concerned about a damaged hairdryer in my room (not electrically sound), but otherwise there was a little to complain about.

Excellent, value for money resort, if you are looking for traditional Balinese place in Seminyak

I booked this hotel on the recommendation of a couple of friends, who chose it for the location. The resort is older and traditional Balinese style. The pool is nice but I never saw anyone in it while I was there. It's difficult to be too hard on this hotel because for value for money, it's good. I stayed with my daughter and we had a large room way back at the end of the resort. A bit of a walk to get there but, it was comfortable and so were the beds. In terms of location, it's right in the middle of Seminyak and a 4 minute walk to Ku de Ta and the beach. Having said that, the resort is quiet with no street noise at all. The staff at reception were very polite and helpful, but a few times I went there, nobody was present. The place is very relaxed and that in itself has an attraction.

My daughter is a teenager and she complained about the shower, which had very little power and she found it restrictive. We had breakfast included but I wouldn't bother! The first morning I went to the restaurant, there were no staff there at around 07.45. I had an omlette the second morning with toast and the least said about that the better! There are plenty of nice restaurants in the Main Street, so it wasn't a problem. I booked 4 nights in this hotel but checked out after 2 and moved to a modern 5* hotel with better facilities next to the beach. If you are looking for a traditional budget resort that's great value in the centre of Seminyak, then this could well be it. As the traffic in Seminyak and Bali is an absolute nightmare these days, and it's difficult to get around in good time, I wanted to be close to a beach area where we could walk around and enjoy the hotel facilities. With that in mind, I moved to a 5* hotel in Legian for a couple of days but it's hard to knock Ananda for value for money.

Couple, 1st timers in a LONG time to Bali

Location,location. Big sized room. It was like a 1bedroom and a lounge area with and a small porch overlooking the garden

Dated facilities, not really a resort anymore.

Close to great restaurants and shops. Restaurant staff were lovely, as were the gardeners. Didn’t have much to do with front reception staff, other than booking in and leaving. Bed was comfortable, TV was the size of an iPad in our first room, had to move rooms due to the very tight spiral staircase. Second room was on ground level, with shared living space with room upstairs, almost like a 2 bedroom villa. Aircon was great, as was the WiFi.

Probably a nice resort 20 yrs ago. Very dated for a resort with minimal staff. Breakfast was also very basic, no buffet breakfast, just eggs, toast, fruit and coffee.

This is my regular hotel now for the last week before I come home

I love the space, room and bathroom with big corner bath. It’s pool always has shade somewhere and plenty of day beds Because rooms are all separated like cottages is even more private

I’ve stayed here before in different rooms and the only problem is the taps n shower can appear bit rusty but it is a very common problem in Bali due to humidity. My friends live in Bali and have to replace theirs every year

Value for money and good location.

The location was good, the room itself was clean and had good air con and wifi. The pool was clean and large. Was booked to use for the day as was flying on a late night flight. It is very good value for what was charged for the room, breakfast was included.

The hotel has seen better days, it didnt look like its pictures. I think once it was a great place to stay but needs some serious TLC.

Oldie but definately a goodie!!

This resort is quite old but the location and value for money is outstanding. You are located directly on Eat Street with restaurants bars and shops right at the resort door. The staff are so lovely and cannot do more for you. the pool is great to lay by and swim.

Rooms are very old and some minor wall and tile damage. But this is the only thing I can complain about. The value for money and the location is unbeatable.

Perfect tropical oasis in the middle of “eat street “

Set amongst beautiful lush tropical gardens are traditional style oversized bungalows , whilst they may be a little dated they are clean with comfortable beds and good bedding . The pool is huge and well maintained

If I had to find fault the breakfast is basic but there are plenty of dining options right in your doorstep. WiFi in rooms doesn’t work very well
