We regularly stay here, its location is perfect to wander around the streets of Matakana.

The studio room was perfect for us. Although we ended up taking E-bikes (last minute) we could safely store them in our room out of the way, despite it being a studio

The location to town is superb, staff are super friendly and the place has had a major upgrade since we were last here. Room 19 is a newer room, very nicely spec’d. (Room 18-20 are newest)

So good - would definitely come back

The reception was amazing. Rooms were so clean and pool was so nice. Such a close walk to all the shops and restaurants. So inviting and beautiful.

There was one thing that didn’t sit to well with us is that in the mornings - staff would enter into our rooms with their keys - no knocking or notice that they were entering - even just to make sure we were decent. In one case - one of the tenants was actually half dressed and was extremely shocked by the intrusion. It was just a confronting experience. We would definitely stay there again - but just thought that it’s something to please keep in mind of your guest privacy and house keeping etiquette.

It was a lovely and quiet getaway in a brilliant location.

Location - so close to Matakana shops, having a two-storied apartment, the cleanliness, the peace and quiet, and the air con.

The couches need replacing. They were sagging and uncomfortable.

Decent stay!

We had a decent stay! The towels were refreshed daily, which was nice. The facilities (i.e. playground, trampoline and swimming pool) were decent for the children. The motel was also very centrally located - we were able to walk to the village within minutes - this was convenient!

The bedrooms were facing the afternoon sun and in summer, that meant that it was challenging for the kids to sleep at their bedtime as it was still so hot and sunny. This was however not any fault of the motel!

Definitely recommend

It was beautifully presented, very clean and tidy, fantastic location. They thought of everything, even a blind over the door to block the light outside at night. It was a very easy walk to the main street, only 2 minutes away. Very nice accommodation.

Great location

Location to the centre was great. Bed were comfortable and the on-site pool was great for a dip in the hot weather.

Furniture could do with some updating and some parasols around the pool would be great. If you're wanting privacy when using the bathroom, it's a challenge here as the sliding door doesn't offer much privacy.

Booked this last minute and so glad we did. Great location and pool was an added bonus which we used both days . Staff were so friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. Easy access to the village . Would love to stay again if we return to NZ

Really nice family run motel.

Hosts were friendly and helpful. We appreciated leaving our car on-site while we went to the market. The room was spotless, comfortable and roomy. We didn't use the pool or BBQ but it looked inviting.

Great location for a restful stay.

The location to Matakana was excellent. There was always staff available to help and it was calm and peaceful.

We would have liked tables next to the sofas and arm chairs so there was somewhere to rest our drinks. A more secure door on the bathroom would be nice, it's wasn't very sound proof

Great location, better than most motels, good price

Location is perfect to enjoy the eatery’s and Saturday Markets. You can just sneak through the pub car park to get to the Main Street. Super clean and quiet.
