Solo travelling at its best

This is home away from home for me. If I am lucky enough to get a booking, I always like to stay for at least a week every Summer. The rooms are comfortable, the staff are fantastic and super helpful. The location is perfect and the food from the restaurant is soooooo good!

Beautiful and rustic setting.

Staff was wonderful. Food was excellent. Quaint little place that we really enjoyed.

Our unit could've used new carpet and shower drain was very slow. But overall very nice place!

Okay for overnight stay wouldn’t want to stay longer

Comfy large bed. It was close to an event we were attending so location was good. Plenty of parking

Rooms were a little dated and although clean smelt musty/damp. No aircon, only a very noisy fan so you wouldn’t want it on while trying to sleep. Check in took a while because the staff are busy serving the bar customers. A little pricy when you compare the amenities in the rooms

Bed was clean and comfortable.

The whole room was tired and in need of modernizing. Generally the room was dirty. Very noisy music and loud behaviour at night.

An enjoyable short stay.

Spacious room. Really liked the setting and grassy areas around the accommodation. Enjoyed the fact that the accommodation was separate from the tavern itself. Plenty of parking and it felt safe. A couple of minutes walk to a small block of food shops was handy.

Some reviews commented about the place needing updating, however it was fine for our needs and everything worked.

Good for a night

Very comfy beds and pillows - rare find! Nice staff, fast check-in, easy check out. Handy to have a pub in the main building - dinner sorted. They even had some basic kids menu. Air con saved us in a hot night.

Outdated shower - a wall mounted head makes it tricky to wash, especially for a small child. Hard to regulate water temperature too. Not very clean - the cigarette tray on the balcony table wasn't emptied from the previous guests. Good

Amazing location, amazing stay!

The location was amazing, 5 min walk to the beach, it was clean and had the pub 1 min walk across from the rooms. The food was lovely at the salty dog pub. The view from the room was pretty too.

A pub with a separate accommodation block in Snells Beach.

A large, bright airy room with a well equipped kitchen area, in a separate accommodation block next to the Salty Dog pub. Free on site parking. Walking distance to the adjoining pub, cafes, restaurant and supermarket. The lady behind the bar in the pub was very friendly and helpful.

No blind or curtain on kitchen door so it was necessary to wear an eye mask to sleep. Both the room and the pub were a little faded and didn't meet our expectations in view of the price.

Such great location and parking in Snells. Was a massive bed and big room with all the facilities (fridge, tv, fan, seating areas ect). The staff were so friendly and welcoming

We have stayed here a number of times and will definitely return.

Very comfortable bed and clean bedding. Good hot shower. Good kitchen facilities. Pleasant outlook from the windows. Far enough away from the fairly busy road to be quiet. Friendly attitude of the reception staff.

Lack of an armchair or small sofa as on this occasion we had to take a room with an extra single bed we didn't need. No towel rail in the bathroom

Location and size of the room. Bed was quite comfortable.

Found big black spider in bathroom. Black mould everywhere in shower and on tiles in bathroom. Toilet and shower both leaked. .No exhaust fan in bathroom. Room smelt musty and was in need of a reno. We had problems with the TV. When a staff member could not fix it she said she would call the manager. We waited a few hours but nobody came back and not even a courtesy call. We were not impressed

Location great, friendly staff, great food, friendly locals, but accommodation needs updating

The room was comfortable, but dated, however, the place was convenient for a stop over on our travels. The bathroom was definitely in need of some refurbishment, not that clean and blown out vanity cupboards from the shower not being enclosed. The restaurant and bar were pleasant to visit, with the locals joining you at your table for a lovely chat. Food was very good.

Overnight I did wake up to the front door wide open twice. I think the catch needs fixing a little concerning for the safety conscious Room in need of an update but it reflects in the price

Nice enough room. Make sure you get level1 not ground floor

The location is great surrounded by easy to access beaches and the main highway is not that far away

If you have a ground floor room and there are baby elephants above you your room is going to echo like a base drum every single step someone takes in the unit above is going to echo into the room that you are in and if you think you are going to sleep, think again if you must stay here ask for a room on level one

Comfortable room in an ideal location for my plans.

Room v comfortable and spacious, beds good too. Location v handy for boat trips from Sandspit.

Shower could have been hotter. Restaurant closes at 8pm and bar closed and locked up by 10pm, so not quite the 'one-stop shop' I was hoping for, but still v good.
