    Our stay here was extremely comfortable. All the essentials of a motel were provided, and it was very comfortable and warm, even without the heater at this time of year. I am not sure if my change of room on arrival affected my booking but I would have loved one of those showers picture on the site which had a seat provided. I did alert the property to the existence of disability I have. For me the bed was a bit soft, and a bit low, but that's me. Parking provided right outside the door - so convenient. Off the main road so no need to drive out into heavy traffic from the property. I'd definitely recommend it.

    We originally booked our stay at Rolleston through Agoda but were unexpectedly informed upon arrival that we would be staying at Avalon instead. While the unit at Avalon was quite spacious, with a separate living area/bedroom and a second bedroom offering plenty of room in the kitchen and living areas, the cleanliness was a major disappointment. The location was convenient, just a 2-3 minute drive to Thames town centre, and on-site parking and decent Wi-Fi were appreciated. The Chromecast was available but didn't function well on our second night. However, the lack of cleanliness significantly detracted from our stay. We found wet plates upon arrival, visibly dirty floors that clearly hadn't been vacuumed (my husband ended up having to vacuum himself), and sticky carpets. There were also noticeable crumbs in the non-carpeted areas. Additionally, the couch was dirty with stained cushions. Despite the friendly reception staff, the poor state of cleanliness was a significant issue, especially concerning for families with young children. The unexpected change in location upon arrival, coupled with the subpar cleanliness at Avalon, makes it difficult to recommend this accommodation.
