Excellent - would stay again

It was really lovely, great position opposite the ocean, good facilities and spotless.

No beach towel - that would have been good for overseas visitors.

Great location-easy check in. Unit had everything we needed for short stay.

Parking is very tight-does not help when someone parks a large Ute in a spot (not a designated park either) and can’t access own spot. We did manage to park on road but very inconsiderate. Sofa was very low/soft and didn’t have anywhere really comfortable to sit/relax

Rooms were lovely. Overall size was great. Bed comfy and shower amazing. Staff were really great at sorting an issue with the room when we arrived. Would stay again.

Pleasant Enough

We had a really enjoyable stay at the Beachcomber in Orewa. The staff were genuinely welcoming and helpful throughout, which made a real difference and set the tone for the visit. The location is excellent: close to the beach and perfectly placed for an easy, relaxed stay in Orewa, which was exactly what we needed.

While the rooms are a little tired in places, they were comfortable and functional, and the warmth of the service and the setting more than made up for it. Overall, a pleasant stay in a great spot, with standout staff who clearly care about their guests.

Good apartment overall

Apartment was very good overall, great location & friendly staff. Nice size bedrooms & lovely bathroom.

One bedroom only has a skylight in the ceiling providing natural light & this was covered by a Venetian blind so daylight came into the room from a very early hour.

Steps from the beach

The Beachcomber is in a great location in Orewa...literally across the street from the beach. The room was large, clean and comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed. The staff were very friendly and kind. Nice to be able to park our car within sight of our room. We really enjoyed our stay in Orewa.

Everything was fine. Be prepared to take your luggage up a flight of stairs if you're on the second floor.

This is a fabulous motel, great location and the management were very helpful and friendly.

Our two bedroom apartment was tastefully decorated, very quiet and comfortable bedrooms, spacious bathroom and great shower. Nice views from the living area, easy walk to the town centre.

I was only there for one night and was an uncomfortable bed I don’t think I would’ve liked to have stayed more than one

The property was close to the beach and to other amenities such as restaurants and supermarkets

The bed was hard and a little lumpy. The room had no windows that could be opened for fresh air. There was a fan in the room but there was no way to turn it down and it seemed to heat the room rather than cool it down.

We had breakfast at a café we had used many times before. The Coffee Club in Orewa. Excellent service there and very welcoming.

We didn't need a second bedroom although it was very suitable for 2 children.

Brilliant

Wow so much consideration has gone into these rooms. We had a top story room, along with some friends that had the next ones along from us so got to see them all. Very lovely, each room unique in style and layout. Comfy bed , lovely linen ,great shower and every thing you need in kitchenette. Ours had a spacious living area ( no 11). A lovely worker came around to check everything was ok. Super handy to beach and village . Truly an awesome overnight stay. Would absolutely stay again.

Top quality accommodation, perfect location with stylish decor

This is by far the best accommodation available in Orewa. The staff are friendly and helpful, the rooms are spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated with a well stocked kitchen and thoughtful bathroom accessories. You can tell the owners have put so much thought into the decor of each room and facilities. This is better than some 5 star hotels I have stayed in. The beds are super comfortable and the rooms are noise proofed so you do not hear any traffic noise or that of other guests. Perfect location just across the road from the beach and a short stroll to the shops and restaurants. Highly recommend.
