Love the pool access suite. Definitely worth it. The team at Sakala resort is also very helpful and accommodating. Meitha hosted me and my partner and did an awesome job with attending to our requests. Celebrated valentines/wedding anniversary here and the hospitality from Meitha and team made it so much better. Thank you :)

Our stay at Sakala Resort Bali was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. The resort truly delivers a complete Bali experience — beautiful beachfront surroundings, excellent facilities, and an atmosphere that perfectly balances relaxation and fun.
A very special thank you to Aniisa from the Guest Experience team, who genuinely made our stay unforgettable. She went above and beyond to assist us, always with a warm smile and thoughtful attention to detail. Her dedication and care made us feel truly valued, and she consistently went the extra mile to ensure everything was perfect. It’s team members like Aniisa who turn a great holiday into a truly special one — thank you!
We loved the overall resort experience. The facilities are fantastic, and the variety of international cuisine was impressive. The Beach Club in particular stood out — great food, vibrant atmosphere, and the perfect spot to relax by the ocean.
The water sports were incredible and such a highlight of our trip. Being so conveniently located near the airport made everything easy and accessible, and the range of activities available right on the beach added so much excitement to our stay.
Overall, Sakala Resort exceeded our expectations. We can’t wait to return and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a luxurious, fun, and memorable Bali getaway.
The tv and sound system is old and doesn’t have Netflix or youtube.

The hotel and resort is clean and the staff were very helpful
The hotel is some distance away from the centre of Nusa Dua.

a true one-stop destination — everything you need all in one place, with no need to go anywhere else.
the road is fairly busy, so if you’re trying to enjoy a relaxing day by the beach club pool, noise from motorcycles, cars, and the neighboring property can be quite distracting.

Lovely big rooms and bathroom and pool was surprisingly quiet.
Everything was good.

The staff were amazing — from the security guards helping us cross the street, to the lobby team, guest relations, room service, and restaurant staff. Special thanks to Ms. Tiur and Lisa, who were exceptionally kind, helpful, and welcoming throughout our stay.
The room was spacious, and the mattress and pillows were soft and very comfortable. Both the hotel pool and the beach club pool were large and beautiful, which really helped me with my training. Breakfast was decent with a good variety of options.
The location was excellent — close to water sports activities, Bali Collection (with a free shuttle), and Bali Theatre. The gym was also very good and fully equipped with a wide range of machines and dumbbells.
We were touched by the thoughtful welcome gestures — a lovely message written on our mirror and a printed sketch of my wife and me as a gift. Overall, we felt truly relaxed and enjoyed every moment of our stay.
There was a slight sewer smell when turning on the shower, but it disappeared within seconds. The TV wasn’t working properly, although it didn’t bother me much. Also, there was renovation work at the beach club in front of the pool, which blocked the view of the beach and mountains.

Resort was clean and the staff were amazing. However, due to heavy rain resort needs a little touch of maintenance and constant upkeep.
The pool was big and layed out all around the building with some rooms having an entry straight into the pool.
It was further away from main areas and restaurants. It was difficult to walk around with kids as there are lots of motorbikes and cars on one main road. Not an area to go for a stroll with young kids.
The kids pool was very small. There is not a kids area for playing/waterpark where you can sit an watch. There was one slide on the back side of the pool which you can't see your children unless you are in the water with them from the front.
I think its an ideal place for more older kids and families where they dont need much supervision.

You have to walk many stairs and ride many lifts to get to the restaurant if your room in the lower floor.

The hotel was comfortable and scenic. The family room was perfect for our trip with 3 young children. The food and drinks were exceptional and made our family reunion holiday something to remember! The pool was also amazing with different depths for various water play capability. We also enjoyed the spa experience with team there helping us curate a selection of treatments to suit each guest! We will definitely be back!
Special thanks to the Sakala team who made our stay so special!
* Demmy - ensured our airport pick up went smoothly and was available any time to make sure our stay was comfortable as the guest relations liaison. As a special touch he also organised a little tent for the kids to play in set up in the living room. His attention to detail was impeccable.
* Kaca- always checked in regarding our food and beverage experience
* Koming -makes a mean omelette and always went above and beyond
* Dwi and Lisa- were amazing with our breakfast experience and recommending activities to do
* Windy, Sinta and Ariadi - made our Balinese farewell dinner experience so so special
* Meitha, Jesica, Ra, Lidia, Dhera, Nia, Tiur- all manned the Guest Experience Team line and ensured any issues were resolved promptly
* Ari and Bella- always had fun activities for the kids in the Kid's Club and were great with our little ones!

We had an amazing stay at this hotel. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming from the moment we arrived. The food was very good, with a wide variety of choices every day. Our room was beautiful, clean, and well maintained, and the room service was excellent.
The swimming pools were lovely and well kept. We came here for our honeymoon, and the hotel truly went above and beyond — our room was beautifully decorated, and they really made it special for us. They did an outstanding job!
I would definitely love to come back here again in the future.

The staff were very helpful and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. Most notably was Demmy, one of the experience team members who helped us settle in, sort out our extended check out and when our flight was delayed one of the managers gave us our room for an extra 3 hours to use for free so that we wouldn't be stuck for hours at the airport. Vani the Activity manager was also very helpful in organising a towel making Activity for us at very short notice. Overall all their staff members were very polite and helpful. Our family suite was very spacious and comfortable as well and their beach club across the road was lovely, with their security offering supervised crossings. The facilities were very clean and the food and drinks were good. Their beach club is right next to a range of watersports so made it easy to book various activities like jet ski, the para sailing, banana boats etc.
The pool view from the 7th floor where our suite was was spoilt by the property next to it which was a big building that was in the process of being demolished and so at times it was a bit loud from the excavators removing rubble. Also some of the information on their site (accessed via QR codes in rooms) was outdated and was not reflective of what was currently available.

Amazing pool and waterslide. The perfect place to take my ten year old on a Holiday. With the option of the beach club pool on the beach and the very big pool on the other side, we never felt like having fun was an issue.
Those who wanted cocktails and sunbathing chill sessions seemed to hang out in the beach club pool and kids and families in the pool with the water slide.
Kids club was ten out of ten, thank you Bella.
Breakfast buffet was the best I've had. I adored the Indonesian buffet and my son loved the western buffet.
Not a lot close by to walk to. However if you're after a resort holiday this is a non issue. We got tacos outside of the complex when needed.

We found this hotel to be excellent value for money. It is incredibly baby-friendly; the kids' club is open most of the day and the entire staff was so warm and welcoming toward our little one. The breakfast buffet was also a highlight with a great variety of options.
We found that communication over the phone could be a bit hit-or-miss, so I highly recommend using their WhatsApp service instead, which was much more efficient. Also, keep in mind that the hotel is a short drive from Nusa Dua beach, so it’s not a direct walk, but still very accessible.

The beachside pool is a beautiful place to relax. The rooms are immaculately clean and well appointed. The grounds are lovely. My pool view suite afforded me great views.
Most importantly, the staff are welcoming, genuinely friendly and happy to assist with both small and large requests. Notably, Meitha, who works in reception, is a generous and supportive staff member. I will readily recall her warm hospitality. I was even introduced to the manager, Nanda, who was personally welcoming.
Shops are a little bit distanced from the hotel.

It’s was beachfront , not too far from the airport … within proximity of other restaurants … our suite was big , the bed amazing , services 10 Stars … our Guest Liaison Meitha was an amazing resource , she treated us like royalty and went far above the call of duty to make us comfortable … we will come back negate if everything and especially Her … She is an asset to the organisation and we hope they really honor her hard work and diligence…

We had an absolutely amazing stay at Sakala Resort. Even before our arrival, we received a warm welcome message from Meitha, our dedicated Guest Experience Coordinator, which immediately set the tone for our stay. Meitha also greeted us upon arrival and truly made the entire experience exceptional. Check-in was effortless, and our luggage was promptly taken to our room.
On our first night, we enjoyed an incredible meal at the resort’s beachfront Japanese Teppanyaki restaurant. The food and drinks were outstanding, and the evening was made even more special with live music and fire dancers performing on the beach.
Breakfast at the resort was equally impressive, with an abundance of options and extremely friendly, helpful staff. The bar staff at the pool’s swim-up bar were fantastic as well, and the food and drinks throughout our stay were simply sublime.
At checkout, everything was handled seamlessly. Our luggage was collected and delivered directly to our waiting taxi, making for a smooth and stress-free departure. Meitha met with us again to ensure everything was taken care of, and we were also lucky enough to meet Demmy. We shared great conversations and plenty of laughs—both were genuinely kind and wonderful people who made our trip truly special. They even took a selfie with us and had it printed as a keepsake.
If you’re looking for a peaceful, quiet, and relaxing hotel, look no further. This has been one of the best stays I’ve ever had, and I can’t wait to return.

The room was spacious and comfortable, and the staff on site were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet with good variety, and the resort had a calm and relaxing atmosphere overall.
The shower showed signs of rust and could use better maintenance. Some activities were unavailable due to low occupancy. Communication was also an issue, as WhatsApp responses stopped after the booking was confirmed. We were also charged a higher amount for the room upgrade at the reception on the day of upgrade compared to what was offered prior to the booking, and no explanation was provided for the discrepancy.

Our stay at The Sakala Resort – Family Pool Villa was exceptional from start to finish. The villa was spacious, beautifully designed and incredibly comfortable, with the private pool being a real highlight and perfect for a relaxed family stay.
The food and service genuinely surprised us — we usually avoid eating in hotels, but the quality, variety and warmth of service here were so irresistible that we happily stayed in. It was exactly what we needed to fully switch off and ease into the start of our holiday.
The buffet breakfast was outstanding, with an amazing range of fresh, high-quality options that catered to everyone and made mornings something to look forward to. The spa was equally impressive — calm, indulgent and deeply relaxing, delivered by highly skilled therapists.
What truly sets The Sakala apart is the kindness and attentiveness of the staff, who made the entire experience feel effortless. We left feeling rested and refreshed and cannot recommend this resort highly enough.
We loved everything about The Sakala

I strongly recommend to avoid it!
The property not well maintained, paint chipping off, unclean walls and surfaces around the pool area. Wear tear on the lounge furniture.
The staff is clueless, unhelpful and unaware. They don’t know anything, half the things were not functional. The floating bfast was so mediocre. The rooms were not cleaned before moving in, door locks were faulty, lights not working. To top it all there are 2 men working when we return from the pool. The housekeeping was an absolute nightmare. No toiletries, the dispensers weren’t working. When we complained there were different people handling the case and was offered “free pizza” for our two 4 years old as compensation for the absolutely disastrous experience.

2.0 / 10.0
The facility itself has potential, but it is clearly outdated and suffers from poor management and weak leadership by people who do not seem to care about guest experience. On our first night, we discovered that basic amenities such as the TV, coffee machine, shower supplies, and even shampoo were missing or not functioning. I genuinely do not understand how this can happen in a hotel that claims to be 5-star. The level of oversight and room preparation was far below expected standards.
8.0 / 10.0
It was a beautiful property, all of the staff were super friendly and accommodating. Our room was cleaned everyday. We had one of the lower end rooms and it was big and really nice still. The breakfast was really nice everyday, heaps of options too, Koming and the team made some beautiful food. The staff around the place were so lovely. Two huge pools with swim up bars and a waterslide, part of the resort is across the road with one of the pools, a restaurant, a beach bar, and woodfired pizza bar, overlooking the beach, it was such an amazing stay. Oh and there was a free shuttle to a shopping centre everyday which was super helpful
Just a little far from a lot of things, but nusa dua is a slower area which is nice, not so busy, not the resorts fault. Some of the facilities in the rooms could have a little update, maybe the showers too need a bit of a better clean, otherwise everything else was great!
3.0 / 10.0
We arrived at Sakala with optimistic expectations having read some mixed reviews. Our optimism was soon shattered when we discovered the bad reviews were true.
The hallways are old and dated, and the rooms are dirty, and in need of renovations. Both the pillow and bed sheets were stained in our room, and we had to request to have them changed. There was dust and mould in cupboards and on surfaces, the microwave needed cleaning, the cupboards creak and one drawer fell out when we tried to open it.
We asked if we could upgrade from a deluxe suite, to a deluxe pool view suite on check-in with the total difference showing as 250.000 IDR in total for the 4 nights we had booked on booking.com, yet the hotel tried to charge us 850.000 IDR per night for the upgrade. Fortunately our room did overlook the pool (and a large area of construction rubble) so the upgrade wasn’t even necessary.
We visited the beach club to find the sea was dirty with floating debris, the beach club restaurant offered average food, but in small portions which were overpriced.
The hotel is far away from the more luxury hotels Nusa Dua has to offer, and the surrounding area is not so nice with little choice of quality restaurants.
On a positive note the pools are really big, and there are lots of sun beds and seating areas. The buffet breakfast is really good with lots of choice and made to order dishes.
We left the hotel after 1 night, and lost the money on the other 3 nights as we were so disappointed and dissatisfied with the standards overall. You can get much nicer accommodation for less than half the price elsewhere.

I'm impressed with the service at this resort. All the staff were so helpful and responded very quickly to all our needs. The room was amazing – big, like an apartment, and quiet, so we felt very comfortable. The pool is huge, and another pool has an amazing ocean view. The food was delicious, and prices were reasonable. I highly recommend The Sakala Resort to everyone who wants to have a comfortable holiday.
The ocean is dirty, and the water sports next door to the resort's beach smell bad. Unfortunately, the resort can't do anything about it.

Staff were very friendly and helpful
The hallways and stairways were very dimly lit, which was a serious tripping hazard. I tripped while going down the stairs as I could not see the last step at the bottom. More lighting is needed for safety.
We stayed in the basement level, and there was a slight mouldy smell. There were mosquitoes in the hallways and in the room too.

Design was amazing, and as we got a room that had pool access it was very very good. The food was also exceptional. Breakfast and dinner was very very good.
Certain parts definitely needs to be renewed. Our balcony had nails sticking out and the ladder to the pool was very shaky.
9.0 / 10.0
We really enjoyed our stay at the Sakala. The staff was all so friendly from the moment we arrived but we need to give special mention to Demmy the customer experience manager. He was always approachable and friendly. Our baby, Parker was obsessed with him always smiling and cooing his way. The room was beautiful and clean and the ac made it so much more comfortable getting used to the Bali heat. They went out of their way to celebrate my husbands birthday which was a lovely touch to a great holiday
The only downside was the shower leaked into the toilet as they were joined together, as well as not very warm water and the wood around the ladder to the pool was worn and broken.
9.0 / 10.0
We enjoyed our 3 days-2 nights stay at Sakala.
The staff assisted us from main reception staff to the breakfast waitress. The food at both restaurant was great, a little pricey maybe but we enjoyed our meals. The breakfast offers great variety and is freshly made (waffles, pancakes, eggs your way...). We had the room without view which was good enough for 2 nights, great little garden, and they had set up a cot for our daughter too. We only walk to the North end of Nusa Dua and did not explore much around, we enjoyed the three level gym and the 2 pools. The hotel has a free shuttle multiple times a day.
The kids club was EXCELLENT, thank you so much to Bella and Ari for making our daughter's stay even better!
We would recommend!
Not much really !!
The 21% extra charges on top of the prices was a bit much, but I guess that might be standard.
