Good value and a friendly welcome

Peter, the host, was friendly and welcoming. He had a lot of local information and was always willing to help. The cooked breakfast was good. It seemed that Peter was running the place singlehandedly!

We would have liked some fruit and yoghurt with our breakfast. Our room was rather cramped. There was an ensuite, but the sink was in a corner of the bedroom with a distant and rather high unlit mirror that made shaving difficult. The toilet space in the small bathroom was very limited. My wife had backache after sleeping in the single bed. The room and its fittings were rather dated and needing some tlc.

Fantastic - we’re going back!!!

Spotless and really comfortable accommodation close to the centre of Douglas but still really quiet at night. Peter couldn’t have been more pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was amazing!

Pleasant outgoing host, great food, good location (if you don't mind the hill!)

Peter was a very friendly, outgoing host. He was happy to go out of his way to buy in additional food to suit a dietary requirement / request. The breakfast was exceptionally good, served quickly, and was suitably hot - showing it was cooked well. He showed a genuine interest in myself and the other guests. On my last day, he suggested that he was happy to let me leave my large travel bag in the room I was staying in and allowed me to keep hold of the key until I was ready to collect it (as I was spending my last morning travelling on the steam railway and it would have been a nuisance to drag it around with me). I left the key in the door of the room, as requested, after I had collected my bag. I'd happily stay here again in the future and would definitely reccomended it to others.

I was all-round very happy. The television signal was occasionally a little iffy. Other than that, I can't say I have anything of note to talk about, really.

Great place to stay in Douglas

Lovely fresh, clean room with bathroom, tea & coffee, everything needed for comfortable stay. Good generous breakfast. The host, Peter, was extremely welcoming and helpful, and lots of local knowledge to share. Convenient to ferry, shops, Manx museum and Promenade. Good transport links for exploring island. Stayed 6 nights, had a great holiday. Would go back.

Cheap stay during the ManxGP

Stayed during the ManxGP, and the room was clean. Good shower and breakfast, tea and coffee in the room just what you would expect from a B and B. It's away from the front a little but close enough to everything you need, bus stop 4 minutes away and prob a 10-minute walk to the front. Local shops and takeaway close. Cheap compared to others and a little bit more basic, which suits me perfectly. In comparison, it would have cost the same for the two of us to stay in the local hostel.

The mattress was a little tired, still a good night's sleep.

Solides, sauberes B&B, ich komme gerne wieder!

Sympathischer und unkomplizierter Gastgeber, auskömmliches Frühstück, zentrale Lage, alles sehr ordentlich und sauber, täglicher Room-Service. Ich hatte ein nettes, kleines 1-Bett-Zimmer mit Waschbecken, Handtücher werden zur Verfügung gestellt.

Für mich persönlich gab es hier keine schlechten Erfahungen. Erstaunt war ich zunächst über die minimalistischen Sicherheitsvorkehrungen an den Türen, was ich aus Deutschland nicht gewöhnt bin, aber das ist für die dortigen Verhältnisse offensichtlich ausreichend :)

Här serveras riktig engelsk frukost! Trevlig värd som också försökte fixa bättre Wifi, även om han inte lyckades.

I vårt rum nr 11 var WiFi obefintlig. Utanför dörren tvärtom!
