Location, reception, affordable price
You could hear everything that surrounded the room at night. People in the corridor, people in the room next to us and above, people talking and carrying luggage on the street outside the window (and we were 2nd floor). Very loud.

Very friendly welcome, lovely big room with an ensuite….we had been expecting the bathroom to be separate, so a pleasant surprise. Very close to the train station but tucked away off the main thoroughfare. Quiet little park just behind the hotel, great if you have little ones and want a bit of peace and quiet. Near to lots of great areas to wander/eat/drink. Loved our stay in Venice!
A little noise from outside as our room happened to be at street level, but nothing major.
