I am loathed to write this review for this lovely hotel.in case it gets swamped with people wanting to visit and I can't get a room there anymore :( The location was great. The room was lovely and big, comfortable and quiet [room 306] The breakfast was excellent with great choices and plentiful. The reception staff were absolutely kind, charming, helpful and considerate, particularly Rafalle? I will definitely stay there again.
The only thing that was missing for me were facilities to make tea or coffee. Maybe there could be a tea and coffee station in reception.

Checkin was smooth and we felt very welcomed by Mirko. He was super friendly and helpful. Location was great, 2 min walk from the train station which is great as luggage does not fair too well on cobble stone paths. Room was a good size. Breakfast was a great array of different foods. Good selection.
The lift continually broke down, we were on the top floor, they were doing renovations on our floor so sleeping in or having a quiet afternoon nap was not possible. The room had a strong odour, not sure if it was the washing detergent they use on the sheets or the chemicals used for cleaning but it was very strong. Beds were very hard but it seems to be the standard in most European hotels. The breakfast area is small and it was hard to manoeuvre around and get breakfast when the area is full of people.
